“Oldie but goodie”

This obviously is an old hotel but it was clean and comfortable. The ceiling fan in the bathroom was extrememly loud and you could hear guests walking on the floor above. New LG flat screen TV and LG room air/heater helped offset the negatives.

Century City has more newer facilities and was just as close to the shopping area we wanted

Short driving distance to The Grove and Rodeo Drive. Lots of small quaint restaurants within walking distance of the hotel

“Will go back again!”

Hotel room was much bigger than expected. Clean bathroom and bed sheets, staff were friendly, extremely convenient location. The only downside was the hotel restaurant was under renovation at the time but there are tons of restaurants around, so not really an issue.

“not suitable for family, but convenient location”

- needs upgrade, but decent enough for short stay - close by trader joes - nearby gay bars - close to eateries - pleasant staff - free wifi but very slow - fridge in room - decent bathroom with change of towels daily - very average but dark, very 80's interior needs upgrade and change considering its in a hip part of town

Area recommendations

use airport shuttle bus to and from airport--nice drive and very affordable. Prime Time Shuttle was my preference. Comfortable and pleasant.

“Staff was rude and unresponsive. Moldy smell in the room.”

Hotel staff is rude and uncaring. I request a change of room as my room looked at a wall and I never heard back from manager. The room had a moldy smell.

Area recommendations

West Hollywood, Santa Monica and Beverly Hills. They are close to a lot of activities.

“Enjoyed stay”

Everything was great, however expected restaurant to be attached to hotel for early morning breakfast. Instead walked to a diner.

“Great hotel for practical people”

The hotel is value for money for those seeking not chic, but usefulness. It is not beautiful at all and maybe even shabby in some areas, but you will find everything you need in you room (like 3 large mirrors, iron etc). The room was reasonably clean. The hotel has a conseirge service - very handy for visitors, and appears to be quite popular, as I always saw someone asking questions to the consierge. They can arrange tours, tickets etc. The restaurant is closed, so there is no room service nor breakfast (though there is a Starbucks in the same building, but you have to get there yourself). The fitnes center is very small, but clean and the machines are new (treadmill, cycling and 2 other machines with weights). There is also a pool. The main character is the location. 20 minutes walk to Beverly Shopping center, quick drive to Rodeo or Hollywood boulevard, very friendly and nice area, many restaurants.

“Location is good”

Very good location. Plenty of restaurants, cafes, and stores nearby. It's a bit too far to walk to the tourist section of Hollywood but it's a short drive. The only drawback is the daily parking fee is high (nearly $30) and there aren't many other overnight parking options nearby.
