“A fantastic hotel”
We arrived in Biltmore before Christmas and just loved the wonderful old world charm of the hotel. It has been beautifully restored and provided a luxurious and comfortable stay. The rooms were very large with plenty of room to move. A great central location.
“Good hotel”
Excellent value. Some beautiful decor. Old fashioned but very comfortable.
“Older but still charming”
I can't say this is the best hotel I've ever stayed at, but it was still very pleasant. The lobby of this hotel is giant! And the holiday decorations were gorgeous, everything about the lobby makes you feel very fancy. The hotel seems to be an older hotel, you can kind of tell with the carpeting and lights. Our room was clean and really big, so big that it seemed like there wasn't any furniture in it, it was a little strange. The bathroom was clean, the bed and linens were clean, the bed and pillows could have been more comfortable – I didn't really feel like I slept very well. Great location though, close to everything.
“Time-travel Inn”
Millenium Biltmore: Amazingly beautiful 1920's era landmark hotel overlooking Pershing Square in downtown Los Angeles. Standard, 2-bed room was very comfy, but dusty and cold. Shower only, no tub. Gnome-sized jacuzzi with only one working water jet. Key cards stopped working over an hour before check-out time, so after breakfast when we went up to room to retrieve our luggage, we were locked out and had to have security let us back in. Heated indoor pool, wet and dry saunas worth bragging about, but this place is way too pricey to not offer free internet service. Central location iffy if you're not used to inner-city street culture. Yummy food. Captivating historical displays and holiday decor. A memorable experience if your pockets are deep enough. A one-time Thanksgiving weekend splurge for us, but a rippin' cool splurge nonetheless.
“needs a rejuvenation”
Hotel rooms need a makeover. Public spaces: historic splendor. Overcrowded with weddings and suchlike functions. Lobby drafty and uncomfortable. Concierge very helpful, friendly and knowledgable. Front desk: morning team polite and helpful. Nightteam indescribably sulky and uninterested. Room 2 was not ready at check-in 7pm. Still not ready at 11pm. Room 2 was for underage person, therefore supposed to be close by. Resume: 4 room changes within 24 hours, one room proposed by the gracious late shift was adjacent to the central 6 lifts. I would recommend staying in the hotel as an inebriated wedding guest.
“Fun place to stay with kids”
The Biltmore is a great place to stay with kids downtown! It is centrally located, close to the Metro, winter skating at Pershing Square, Angel's Flight and the Central Market. The grandeur of the lobby, ballrooms and main hall remains, and the pool -- original to the hotel, i.e., installed in the 1920's -- is beautiful! We had a nice big room and the service was excellent. My only criticism is that both times we have stayed there, our car has ended up with a new ding in one of the doors after being valet parked, and the overnight parking seemed really expensive, although it does come with in and out privileges.
“Not bad for the price.”
Staff were friendly. Room was OK for an old hotel. They charge you extra for everything from parking to internet and having a fridge in your room. They failed to advertise clearly that one of their restauratns would be closed during our stay.
“We'll stay there on our next trip to Los Angeles”
Beautiful! Old hotel elegance. Love the history of the hotel. No wait for elevators. Breakfast at Botega Louie two blocks down and drinks on the rooftop of The Standard Hotel two blocks away are a must! Parking at Pershing right around the corner is $15/day as opposed to $40 at the Biltmore. We'll go back!
“Is this room set aside for Expedia users?”
The public areas downstairs are all quite elegant, but my room was less than spectacular, with bathroom mirror that de-silvering and a tub that had been upgraded with tub-fixing paint. It's just old I guess, but I was expecting more elegance from a hotel of the age and pricing. $40 per night for car parking seems too high as well.
“Great price and ammebities”
Very nice hotel in a good part of LA
