“Marina International”
The Marina Int'l is adequate if you have budgetary constriction and don't need dazzle.
“Old n shabby but great location”
Staff are happy to help with anything. We arrived early 8.00am] and were still given a choice of rooms to move into straight away. Clean rooms and close to LAX. Eaat at Killer Shrimp over the road. Cheap and good.
“OK Basic Hotel”
Basic amenities, are OK but the building is a little tired. Obviously the pics on line were taken a long long time ago. OK for the price and neighborhood. Convenient to Venice and Marina del Ray.
“When you have business in the Culver City/airpoty area, stay iat the Marina International!”
First, I maust applaud the receptionists. Both were extraordinary, but the lady on the left side of the counter won the day. She made me feel like her hotel was where I belonged. My girlfriend was very impressed with the bungolow concept. All in all it was a pleaseant and unforgettable experience. Thank you!
“culver city and venice beach”
great hotel and wonderful staff. ms phil at the front desk was awesome and knew her job description to the point of excellence. we enjoyed ourselves and would go back again just because we felt everything was perfect for us.
“It's OK. Staff was very nice but hotel needs work”
Not bad on a budget but there were quite a few parties while we were there so it was noisy.
“Tired but still a good deal”
We have stayed here on many ocassions, the hotel is great value in a brilliant location. Only 20 minutes from LAX, close to Santa Monica and LA but half the price of many other hotels. For the first time ever we were let down with our booking, we had booked and paid for two bungalows but only one was available. The reception staff were apologetic and did offer free breakfast to compensate. The rooms are very spacious and clean although they are looking a bit tired and could do with re-decorating. I will use the hotel again but hope normal service is resumed!
“Marina International Hotel is not great”
Let me start off with the good things. The hotel is in a great location. Its right in the marina and very close to venice beach. The room was very large. We had a ton of space. There is also a parking gargare to park in under the building so we knew that the car would be safe. Now for the downsides of the hotel, the bed is very uncomfortable. My boyfriend and I are not picky when it comes to beds but we both woke up sore and with back pains. Also you can hear everything in the surrounding rooms. The walls are very thin and there are large gaps under the doors so there is not much privacy. The shower head had very little water pressure and I have long hair so it took forever to take a shower. The TV was tiny and there was a lot of static. The worse thing of all is they control the temps in the room so any time we wanted to lower the temp we had to call the front desk and request for them to lower it and it would take forever to cool down. We like it cold when we sleep so it was frustrating not being able to adjust it ourselves. We were only there for one night and we arrived late and left early and wanted an inexpensive room so it was perfect for us. But if I was expecting a nice, long, comfortable vacation I would not stay here.
“good value”
good price for the area...a bit farther from venice and santa monica than i thought - the rental car people wouldn't give me a ride from santa monica to the hotel because it was too far! the hotel is on the older side, but very clean and comfortable!
“Good Bang for the buck”
I got this room for me and my girl at the last minute and when I read the other reviews, I kept seeing "noisy construction". I don't know when this was, but my room was on the construction side, and there was no noise whatsoever. Room was very roomy and the bathroom was to our expectations. For the price and location, it was a really good deal.
