“excellant experience all around”
they were very helpful, gave us a great upgrade, free coffe and popcorn, free snacks, light buffet supper, free shuttle to and from lots of stuff including the beach. laundry right on site, huge pool that was kept warm. sure its in a part of town that i wouldnt ordinarily stay in , but we found it on expedia, and read the reviews, took a chance, and glad we did. inside is a tropical oasis, kids can walk around, swim in a huge heated pool, eat free food etc. we came for one night, got exceptional service, and decided to stay several days. i like the cats u see outside, and as far as no wi fi in the room (see other review)...hmmm im on my computer right now, over looking the pool, on free fast wi fi, from my room. this place rocks, bring ur friends, we have 4 kids and they love it too. after 10pm its a bit loud, close ur windows, but during the day and early evening its a family atmosphere..ps, sort of hard to find lol..it says trade winds, but go inside and its the adventure hotel. we arent drinkers, but its nice to sit by the pool sipping a 1.99 margerita or a beer. we ate free buffet, free pop for the kids, a ton of snacks, etc. if u want the holiday inn, or 5 star, no this isnt for u, but if u like a friendly family like atmosphere, come and enjoy it for what it is. personally i could care less about the planes going over, its LAX, what do ppl expect lol. we lost our passports and Cr C's right after our cruise, and this place really made our lives easier for several days.
“Most fun unique adventure hotel with great memories”
Its like no other hotel out there. Its more like a hostel where people from all over stay , they can live there till they get there own place to live , and fun stuff to do there. Its a cute happy clean environment. Nice cool people there and a good staff too that welcomes everyone and is helpful. The food and drinks were both good and cheap too. You get free complimentary champagne while you are staying there besides having a free continental - muffins, and evening buffet. They have there own shuttle bus that takes, picks up people from the airport and takes them back, and anywhere they want to go too. plus they provide rental cars too. Love it , my favorite place to stay.
“except for location near the attractions is the only plus point”
Ok kinda of hotel
“It's okay!”
The receptionist is not very friendly! The hotel is in poor condition. There is a black cat around the hotel. The parking situation is bad.
“Funky Budget Charm, But Not for Everyone”
Super-friendly and helpful staff. Hotel has made a great effort to make itself an inviting place to be; its style of friendly, run-down charm and endless availability of free snacks and non-alcoholic beverages is more likely to appeal to young travelers on tight budgets than to adults who are expecting big-chain hotel standards. People with small children and most business travelers should look elsewhere. Biggest downsides were insufficient parking, no good restaurants in the neighborhood. As a business traveler, I might stay at the place again because its youthful, completely unique and funky charm provided a welcome change from stuffy and stressful business meetings. This is probably NOT a place where you'd want to entertain your business contacts, however!
“Terrible”
Terrible....hard to find, hard to park, and with the noise outside its hard to sleep during night ...
“BRINING MY KIDS AND BEST FRIEND IN APRIL 2012”
I REALLY ENJOYED THE SET UP. I AM FROM TEXAS AND FRANK WAS THE GREATEST. HIS STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY THE AREA IS VERY FRIENDLY AND EVERYONE WAS LIKE A FAMILY. THE BAR WAS GREAT THE FOOD WAS GREAT. I LOVE IT AND THAT'S WERE I PLANNED TO STAY FOR ALL MY CALI TRIPS.
“You get what you pay for.”
Overall it was fair, bad thing about the hotel was the parking lot, there is not enough, and there is no wi-fi in the rooms.
“Won't go back”
Crappy room, terrible TV reception and choice of channels.
“"Can't wait to go back."”
The motel was easy to find. We liked the security gates around it. The people inside were very nice and helpful. The place was very clean and pleasant.
