“Lovely and luxurious”
The hotel reception was professional and welcoming. The hotel decor was lovely and decorated for the holidays. The room was nice, spacious, with a lovely view. The grounds were extraordinary. The hotel is in one of the best neighborhoods in Pasadena, CA. It is an old historic hotel that has been redone. I have been there several times over the past years. Our only disappointment was the cost of a simple room service breakfast which had multiple "extra" (and very fine print) charges added to the bill. The cost of the extra charges ended up making the bill twice as much as the food! Having stayed all over the world in fine hotels, I have never seen anything like it. I would defintely return to the Langham, but I would never get room service again.
“Pernilla”
I bought a room with garden view( knowing that the view is soo beautiful from the rooms) but the room I got was facing a parking lot with an anbulance and a2 police cars, Probably the worst view ever, I love the hotel but the room was aweful. Trying to get a way one night when you have toddles is hard and ytou expect soo much and this is what we got!! Terribly unsatisfying!!!!!!
“Great hotel grounds.”
Would have been nice if the room that's advertised on the web was the room that was given to us. A little disappointed witht the room for being a "4-5 Star" hotel.
“Only place that we'll stay when visiting L.A.”
The hotel is gorgeous!!! The staff were super helpful and friendly. This is the only hotel that we'll ever stay at when visiting our relatives in L.A. from now on. It's so nice to not have to worry about your car being broken into during the night, and it's nice not having all the noise and comotion that most other hotels have while you're trying to get some sleep.
“Gorgeous but with a few wrinkles”
I hate going to a five star hotel and having to pay for things that lesser hotels offer for free. Although this hotel is beautiful and quite comfortable, coffee was a long walk away in the morning and Internet service was expensive. Also, on a Saturday at 4:30pm, they lost my daughter's car keys at the valet. I feet the response from the staff was less than stellar. They agreed two days later to pay for a new set of keys to her car. I would recommend this hotel only to people with deep pockets and who don't mind being "nickle and dimed".
“Hotel With A Legacy . . .”
The Langham is beautiful. End of story. The Building, the grounds, the rooms, the furnishings - hell, the room keys. The staff is flatteringly friendly and helpful with most issues that arise. The facility contains everything you should need for a pleasant stay. Room service was quick, friendly, and delicious. As we stayed in the Wisteria Cottage, I was slightly concerned about the hot water/ water pressue, but it was great, including the Quercus toilettries. The only slightly negative aspect to our trip was our stop at The Tap Room, the onsite bar. We went in for a few drinks, and appetizers. The drinks were fine (if a litltle expensive - I mean , nearly 20 bucks for a Manhattan), but the service was at first disdainful and cold, then when they saw we had money to spend, ever-present without really smiling. Next time we will patronize an off-site bar and enjoy the Langham for what it is. A beautiful hotel.
“Beautiful property”
Beautiful property! Super nice and professional staff.
“Great hotel.”
About half an hours drive from Central Hollywood, but I wouldn't have wanted to stay that close to Los Angeles. Very nice hotel with great facilities. Got a very good deal through Expedia, would be happy to stay again.
“best stay of a lifetime... breath taking...highly recommend for any destination occassion”
loved it...loved it!!!! can't wait to go back AGAIN!
“Stay at Langham”
The Langham exceeded our expectations. Everything was first class. We especially enjoyed the olympic pool, grounds, and surrounding neighborhood.
