“Not Quite as Good As It Should Be”
For a boutique hotel, Casa 425 is not being maintained as it should be. Upon leaving I left a list of six items that need attention, e.g., window crank broken, shower head drips, inadequate light for shaving or make-up, curtains in atrium frayed. Little things detracted from what could and should be a jewel.
“Great Neighborhood Hotel”
We found this hotel to be very convenient for restaurants, shopping and visits to any of the Claremont community colleges. The rooms were large and comfortable. A small downside is that the nearest auto parking is in a multi floor structure across the street which gets full on weekend evenings. We will come back to this hotel.
“Great Location, luxury accomodations, great price!”
Great hotel, chic, modern affordable luxury!
“Nice”
The hotel is centrally located in this college town. There are several nice restaurants and shops within walking distance. The hotel is small and modern and reminds me more of a European hotel In it's minimalist approach. Nice open courtyard with fireplaces which is a nice touch. Young crowd at night at the bar . Good continental breakfast.
“Bathroom in bedroom”
Not acceptable to have bathroom in bedroom, even if there were curtains to seperate. Stiff linens, and they were frugal with supplies. No DVD player in room, and glass doors to outstide make it difficult to go out with drapes drawn for privacey. One chair for sitting around in room, so other person had to sit on bed. (bed so comfortable, though--tempurpedic) Not worth the rates charged!!
“Excellent hotel”
great boutique hotel with large rooms. i got a bargain on expedia and saved a ton of money. stayed there for about 4 nights and everything went well. Breakfast wasn't anything great but everything else was wonderful. The restaurant is a bit overpriced but that can be avoided. good ambience and very good customer service.
“Excellent hotel!”
Their friendly service, facilities, location, and convenience (there are many restaurants next to the hotel) were excellent. I had a problem with noise, though. The doors to the hotel rooms are facing the patio, and the doors are big windows. They are a sort of resort style, and look very nice. However, the noise from the patio can be heard in the hotel rooms easily. I was taking a nap at 7pm, and all of sudden customers in a bar and in the patio started being very loud, which woke me up. Also, at around 2am, there were some hotel guests walking to their hotel rooms in front of my room (there is a hallway there). I don't know what the floor was made of, but the noise that was caused by the hotel guests dragging their luggage was pretty loud. Except for the noise, I had a very pleasant stay there. I'd definitely go back there.
“So lovely, we stayed an extra night!”
Casa 425 is a gem! Small, lovely, boutique hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious and appreciated the minimalist decor. The location is perfect--near shops, restaurants, movie theater, and Claremont campus. My daughter loved the big bathtub and being so close to Yogurtland. Great food in the hotel restaurant and we enjoyed the pretty courtyard. We had such a relaxing visit that we pushed back other reservations in Santa Monica and spent an extra night here. One of our favorite hotels ever!
“Wonderful location”
Casa 425 is right in the middle of the village. We had a very short walk to dinner, then to the movies, then back to the hotel. Parking was convenient. The tempurpedic bed was great; the decor in the room was modern - and fun. The front door - double door - opened right onto the patio area. And, even with this, it was all very private. The only negative - during the check-in we were told the breakfast was until 10 a.m. When we arrived before 10, we were told it ended at 9 a.m. A bit disconcerting, but not a major issue, since we could take a short walk to a restaurant for breakfast. Claremont definitely needed a good hotel, and this is fills that need.
“Great place!”
Like an oasis in the middle of town - great for our one night & would have stayed longer
