“Highly recommended small cozy boutique hotel”
I choose this hotel for a specific reason, very close to my friend's house in Doheny Drive, which I wanted to surprise. Even though I just stayed there for one night, I liked it very much. Small reception desk, small room, but cozy, with details in the reception area and the pool area. Also I like the bed, it's very comfortable and clean, the small bathroom is very clean and comfortable too. I liked the way they arrange the bathroom doors which inspire me in my design work. Of course, it's not a five star hotel, don't expect something as fancy as a Hilton. As a matter of fact, I've been staying in many 5-star hotels in China and Europe, also a lot of design hotels, I have to say, I would recommend this small cozy one. The old lady who sits in the reception desk is kind and sweet too. To travelers, this location is convinient to catch a bus in LA, and close to Rodeo Drive and Hollywood too.
“The BT Has a Certain L.A. Charm”
I've stayed twice now, and I'm hooked! I like the Old L.A. Deco feel and the sort of funky charm of the Beverly Terrace. If you think it's a little run down at first glance, look past that to the very nicely designed lobby, poolside plants & accents, and room decor. If you can hear your neighbors through the walls/hallway, just put on that nice overhead fan and earplugs: no problemo. The bathroom's not too private (door didn't quite close; right across from the bed), but I relaxed and got past that, too. Great Value; includes breakfast! Great neighborhood for exploring/walking, and nice Italian restaurant on site.
“cherrie”
i really love this family-owned hotel....very warm with great location...
“brillant value for money.”
a basic room but it was clean and cheerul. Breakfast included which you could eat by the pool Lovely seating area for breakfast and they do tea, many hotels in America do not. Only stayed one night, not many imenities for longer but brillant for a short stay.
“Do NOT waste your money, Hotel a Dump”
I was extremely disappointed in the way the hotel looked after I arrived. I was shocked, actually. There were white stains/spots of something on the stairs and the carpet was disgusting that I would have been afraid to walk on it barefoot. The hotel is more like what you'd think of a motel and I have no idea how it is considered a 3-star hotel. There were white flakes on the bed and there were stains on the wall. You could hear everything outside your door, almost as if it were open. The paint was cracking and the doors looked like they were warping on the outer edges. The price was insulting for this hotel. I was so excited to stay here but immediately wanted to leave after I got there. It was an extreme letdown. The pictures of the hotel were not a good indication at all of what you get. So, for your best interest, do not book this hotel unless you have low standards and don't mind wasting money.
“Great Boutique Hotel at a Reasonable Price”
The hotel is very clean and charming and its located within easy access to everything L.A. has to offer. If you don't have a car and don't want to walk you can take a bus to many spots in Hollywood and downtown LA. The staff was also very nice and accomodating. We'd definitely stay here again!
“Not impressed”
Staff not so friendly, no elevator, no place to live luggage before check in ( just on 3:00 PM )
“BEVERLY TERRACE”
TODAY A 3 STAR MEAN'S I GUESS, SO,SO...ONE EXCEPTION THE ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN. VERY OLD BUILDING.. NEED'S UPGRADING. STAFF VERY GOOD. AND HELPFUL...
“Great Vacation in Beverly Hill”
ABSOLUTELY Wonderful stay! Don't let the comments of small room detour your decision. The right side is Beverly Hills, & the left side is West Hollywood. So, the size of the room is nothing compared to how close you are to everything within walking distance. It's not 2 mins walking distance from the Grove & Farmers Market either, but you can walk there:) The Hotel staff was also GREAT! Love having breakfast out side every morning. I would highly recommend this Hotel, if you are on a slight budget !
“Well appointed but noisy, tiny, not worth the money”
This hotel has pros and cons. It's brilliantly located, in a good area, easy access to everything you'd want to see in LA, and with a supermarket etc nearby. However, seeing as you need a car to get pretty much anywhere in LA, its location is actually a bit of an irrelevance. The staff were rude, one in particular acting like an overbearing headmistress and practically quizzing us on what our plans were every day (and not in a friendly way), which got quite annoying. The rooms are TINY - and we're used to small hotel rooms in Europe - but I mean so tiny that I've got bruises on my legs from bumping into the bed to avoid the walls. Because the rooms are so small there also aren't proper doors on the bathrooms, just bar-style louvre doors, which means there's literally no privacy to the bathroom at all. It's also quite a noisy hotel, either from the very busy Santa Monica Boulevard on one side, or from the internal courtyard on the other, which is like an echo chamber so as soon as anyone's speaking (or laying out breakfast at 6.30am) everyone in the rooms facing it gets woken up. One night we were kept up till 2am by people chatting by the pool, only to be woken by the staff at 6.30am setting up breakfast. The breakfast was lovely, and the pool and sun-deck were too. And the rooms are very well appointed, and everything was clean. But I'd recommend you take your money and stay somewhere else, bigger, quieter, and with bathroom doors that close.
