“Sailor beware, it's really basic...”

It was clean, quiet and convenient to where we needed to be. Crumby TV. Noisy refrigerator. We did like the kitchenette feature.. Their phone system is the huge problem! Receiving Phone Messages was impossible and NO SOLUTION was ever offered (when attempting to retrieve our messages found they were for a guest 10 days prior to us). I'm certain we never got at least 4 messages that were left by friends trying to reach us. We probably would NOT go back...it's just a bit too basic.

“Horrible experience”

We stayed a night at homestead and had a bad experience. We checked in late at night only to find - dirty dishes in the kitchen sink, no toilet paper and no shower curtain in the bathroom n just one bath towel! Plus the bathtub had what appeared to be coffee stains in it! We first thought room was allotted by mistake. Called front desk and lady asked me to call her again after 15 min as she was busy. Called again and she asked me to come down. Was thinking she'll reallot a room, but surprise - she handed me toilet paper, one towel n a shower curtain n asked me to put up the shower curtain on my own with a "sorry about that" thrown in as an afterthought. Was too tired to complain. Next morning while checking out, mentioned about experience n before i could complete, lady at front desk (different one) answered "U need to follow up with expedia for any refunds". I was really offended as i only wanted to give her feedback n not look for refunds! I've stayed in extended stay kinda accomodations before - this was by far - the worst. Apart from this, room was pretty dated, pillow n covers too thin. And hallway had weird smell.

“Great for Short Stays Also”

This hotel was located in the heart of Torrance where everything you could (food, shopping, beaches) want was within a mile. Very clean room with comfortable bed and pillows. Would definitely stay again.

“Good Hotel”

This hotel is located in a convenient location to shopping, resturants, LAX and the freeway. A good place to stay. It has an excellent friendly staff to cater to your needs. My wife and I will go back on our next trip to Torrance.

“Not sure if I'd stay here again”

The room was okay, it served it's purpose and was kind of clean. The bathroom was what needed better cleaning. The walls are paper thin, you can hear all of your neighbors around you. It's so bad you hear furniture being moved around, the tv, people talking. It's a bit much. It's in an good area and I felt safe so that was good. Really my biggest complaint was the noise level. So if you need a fair rate and are a heavy sleeper you'd be okay to stay here.

“Impressed!”

I gotta tell you, I was a bit weary about getting a 2 star hotel, but that was all my wife and I were able to afford. We're a young couple so we have to find ways to save. We got there a bit early, and they told us our room was not ready until 3pm. So, we went to the Del Amo fashion center which was about a block away. When we got back, our room was clean with a nice small kitchen, good size bathroom, and an okay bed. The point is everything was better then I expected for a 2 star hotel. The location was great with nearby shopping, beaches, and restaurants. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and the room was nice. I would definitely stay here again! One more thing, If your stay is short you will not get your room cleaned during your stay but for some, like me, that's not a big deal.

“Homestead Del Amo”

Over all for the price Of the hotel I was happy. The hotel was located right across the street from Del Am fashion center. Basically a very good location. The condition of the hotel was acceptable. The only real problem I had was when you advertise two queen beds then the room should come with two queen beds not a fold out couch.... Other than that the hotel was worth the price and i would recommend it to any family with small children trying to save a buck!!!!
