“Impeccable customer service”
The best customer service I have ever experienced, one block walk from Hollywood Blvd, great views, great amenities the list just goes on! Seriously the best hotel I have ever stayed at for a seriously reasonable price!
“Great spot to stay in LA”
Enjoyed the only night in Hollywood at the Hollywood Hills Hotel. Was a bit of a hike to get up to the room but worth it. View was awesome. Pool was beautiful. Room was dated but clean and comfortable. Breakfast at the Magic Castle was included and was good. Staff super friendly and really helpful.
“Ready to Return!”
OK, so the hotel was run-down and very 60's, but the staff were great as were the views. The best part was the restaurant on top of the hill. There was this awesome patio overlooking the city. The evening was warm and clear and we enjoyed our drinks while watching a huge orange full moon rise. The food was spectacular too. By booking the room, we also were able to get into the Magician show which was well worth it.
“A relaxing place to stay, in the heart of Hollywood”
This place is a real gem. It's a short walk from the Kodak Theatre, but in a peaceful setting a world away from the busy tourist streets. Wonderful views over LA from your private balcony. A huge outdoor swimming pool, which we had to ourselves. Excellent room, cheerful reception, and (for the USA) a good breakfast.
“Old Hotel”
First the Good: The staff was extremely professional and caring. They all exceeded the level of service found at any chain hotel. The location was great, 1 block from Grauman's Chinese Theater and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Bad: The hotel was old. The decor of the rooms was 1970's velure and there always was a musty odor
“Was worth the money.”
My 2 kids and I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. The beds were really comfortable. The rooms could have used some major cleaning and a paint job. But, for the price I paid, I got what I accpected. It was a pain everyday to call the shuttle and wait for it to pick us up. This hotel is up the hill (and a part of) The Magic Castle Hotel. They had a nice breakfast every morning but we had to go there to get it. There were a few times that we had to wait 30 mins. for the shuttle. The staff is extremely nice!! Especially the 1st shift supervisor! (Can't remember his name) They helped with anything that we needed. The pool is really great, but not heated. Was very cold and they didn't always have towels stocked. There were a couple times that we had to call down for towels. There were beer bottles by the pool that sat there for 3 days before they were picked up. If they would give as much attention to The Hollywood Hills Hotel as they did to The Magic Castle Hotel then it would be alot better! Overall though, it was a great stay and would stay again..but next time it would be at The Magic Castle Hotel so we wouldn't have to worry about the shuttle.
“Peaceful hideaway”
Part of the Magic Castle Hotel, the units are set in the Hollywood Hills overlooking LA. Whilst the units have seen better days in terms of fitout and maintenance, they are large with kitchens and a welcome respite from the noise and bustle of downtown Hollywood. Service from the obliging Magic Castle staff is outstanding as is the Yashimuro restaurant next door which has good food and magnificent views of LA. Fair hike up the hill by foot but a free shuttle service is happily provided 24/7.
“Overlooks Hollywood”
Great view of Hollywood and the location is terrific. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Had a great stay.
“WOULD STAY AGAIN”
I WOULD STAY AGAIN . IT IS DATED, BUT IT'S IN GOOD SHAPE. IT IS NEW MANY THINGS TO SEE , AND ONE OF THE BEST RESURANTS GOING . GREAT SERVICE,AND I WILL RETURN.
“Great value”
Really hard to beat the location and price. Service was great. The view of Hollywood from our balcony was really fantastic. We have stayed at these smaller hotels in LA before and don't expect a fancy experience; this hotel looks particularly bad from the exterior. However, when you get into the room it's quite comfortable. The amenities are a bit old and worn but very clean. I suppose this hotel can be summed up by the shower. We've stayed in lots of newer hotels with marble and glass showers that produced a weak dribble from the shower head. The shower in this place was a old-school shower with a regular shower curtain but the water pressure was unbelievably good. I'd much rather have a crappy-looking shower with great water pressure than a fancy one that dribbles on you. We will definitely stay here again.
