“Easy, comfortble and affordable”

Third time at Downtowner and as always was a good hub for getting around whilst providing a comfortable roof over our heads - hot breakfast always a winner too!

“Nice place to stay in LA!”

This Motel is very nice. I would definetely go back there for another vacation in LA. It has very good services. The breakfast is good and complete with anything. The room size is very good, and cleanliness is okay. The position of the Motel is great, but you would need a car to visit Los Angeles, it's a very big city, and the free private parking in the Motel helps a lot. There is also a small swimming pool, but it wasn't warm enought to use it. The Motel seems to be more that a 2 stars hotel, and the price is fair. Enjoy LA!

Hoolywood is a nice area to stay to visit LA. It is in the center to many attractions as Universal Studios, Santa Monica, Malibu, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Downtown...

“Cheap but clean”

First time I stayed there. It was a cheap price but it was clean in the room with cable tv and deadbolt on the door. No bugs. If you don't mind no frills, stay there. Also they have a great free breakfast buffet in the morning. Staff is friendly.

“Great location and complimentary breakfast was excellent”

Location was a 5 minute drive to the main area of Hollywood and was located just of the 101 freeway which made it very convenient for us to travel in our rented car to where we wanted to go. Would recommend this to others that are looking for a budget place in a good location

“Good stay on a budget”

The hotel location was great. Not far from the main tourist sites (by car)! Area not great but not horrible either. Good place to stay if you are traveling on a budget. Breakfast... not so great.

“If you need a bed and a nice pool to relax by, come on by...”

Okay it's not a 5 star hotel, but was that what you were looking looking for? It's on a busy street, but the air-conditioner takes care of that. The sheets were clean with none of those little balls I hate. The rooms were clean and being honest the place needs to come into this century, some need curtains end tables and bedspreads would be nice, but again, look at the price your paying. You can't even get that at Motel 8. I have stayed here 3 times in the places few months. The staff is wonderful., always kind. Now for breakfast, I'm a little confused. I stayed at 2 hotel in one week. Both where as I stated above. The Sacramento hotels breakfast consisted of biscuits, as for LA, WOW come and get ready for a full breakfast. I was stuffed........................

Area recommendations

I really don 't know the neighborhood, so get out your GPS's and go for it. In Sacrament there is a place called "The Melting Pot" It's not only fun, but a new experience. It's a bit pricey, and leave the kids with a sitter so you can enjoy yourself. Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!

“We had a great time!”

Everything was just like what is recommended on the website! The location is good (but it is not within walking distance to Hollywood Highland...especially on summer hot days ), the room is clean, and the breakfast was GREAT!!
