“Good value for the money”
Liked this hotel because it had free parking. Many of the Hotels in Long Beach charge up to $20 for parking which represents a 20% additrional charge.
“Comfortable room, decent hotel”
This is my second stay in this hotel. My first stay was 5 nights, and this time was 1 night. The neighborhood is not ideal, but there's underground parking, although parking can fill up fast. The room is comfortable, the front desk is friendly but not overly accommodating. The restaurant serves pretty good food for breakfast. I like this hotel for a good budget option, but I think for future stays I'd rather stay in one of the nicer options closer to the Pike.
“A great place to stay.”
The staff of the Hotel especially Justin, was very accomidating to my families needs. The resteraunt inside the Hotel was very affordable and the staff was awesome
“For a Weekend, Consider it”
I stayed here for one night, and was overall pleased with my stay. The hotel room itself is a little run down but clean, the staff is nice and courteous, they supply amenties such as toothbrushes for free if you forgot to pack it, and there is free self-parking. The view we had was not the greatest: the neighborhood is pretty run down itself. However, it was not loud or unsafe and I was not exactly there to enjoy the view anyway. The room also has a working coffee machine, microwave, and fridge in case you plan on staying longer and buying food (there's a Vons a few blocks away). You'll get down to the beach and back in no time.
“good”
was good but pool is dirty and spa was broken
“Good place for business travel”
Just serves the purpose. No frills. Local shuttle service is convenient.
“Not impressed”
The staff was great, but not impressed with hotel or the surrounding neighborhood
“Clean and friendly”
Nice clean, friendly hotel. Good restaraunt, really appreciated the kids eat free deal. Wait staff was excellent. Surrounding neighborhood, not so nice but, close to the beach. Hot tub was out of order so, that was a dissapointment to me and my kids. Overall a good deal.
“Good price not so good neighborhood”
The hotel was nice, had a nice little restraunt that was open for breakfast lunch and dinner, we only had breakfast and it was good. The air conditioner in our room was broken, we didn't realize this until the middle of the night. We didn't call the front desk because it was so late and we didn't want to switch rooms in the middle of the night. we left the window open and had to listen to a barking dog all night. Our window overlooked the getto right across the alley. The neighborhood was not good but they offered a free shuttle for a 5 mile radius. We took it to the warf and it had good restruants and shopping. we stayed in this hotel the night before we left for our cruise and took the free shuttle to the dock ( we meet 5 other couples on the way out going to the cruise too) . Other than the air conditioning, the hotel was good for the price.
“Holiday Inn Down Town Long Beach”
Loved the hotel and room. Staff was very nice and the hotel had more than we expected. They had a shuttle to take you into town which was nice.
