“I enjoyed my stay...had no problems”
I stayed for one night and it was great. I got off my flight at 2pm and had a shuttle bus at my service 5 minutes after I called them! It was pretty quick! I signed in, went to my room and was happy to have a nice big comfy bed to sleep in after a 14 hour long flight! The room was clean, enjoyed relaxing and watching tv. I didn't go outside to check out the neighbourhood as I was too tired but it didn't look dangerous and didn't even hear anything from my room. The staff were friendly, got my wake up call on time, elevators weren't slow for me, and it was clean. I would stay here if I ever came back to L.A...for more than one night as well! I enjoyed it a lot :)
“did the job”
The htl is passable...nothing to write home about...its 5 mins from LAX an the best thing was a 30 minute shutle that dropped us at the apt or a trnsit centre....
“Needs to have all elevators working.”
Good hotel and close to LAX. Rooms clean. Breakfast good. This hotel has two elevators yet for some reason only has one operating. Another guest who stays there regularly told me they only have one elevator working at a time. As a result there can be long waits for the elevator and they can get crowded.
“NOT as Bad as others may think...”
When I heard this hotel had a rating of 2 out of 5 I was surprised. I called from LAX to be picked up and the van was there in 15 mins or less. Driver was cheerful and helpful, loaded and unloaded ALL my bags (we came in on an International flight with 6 bags, all weighing 23 kgs ea). Check in was fast an pleasant, the room was clean and the place quiet (for a Friday night). Slept well, had breakfast (which wasn't bad either, decent food and selection of items) and was on the shuttle and back to LAX to catch a connecting flight. For the money, the place was a Deal in my opinion and a pleasure to stay at...
“Not Impressed”
The rooms looked like they were from the 1940's and never updated. Small tiny shoe box rooms with paper thin walls. I could hear people sneezing and coughing from the rooms around me all night. I've been in Holiday Inn Express' before and they were nice. This was some other hotel that Holiday Inn Express bought and put their name on it. They didn't even bother to refurbish it or change the decor to match their look. For the price, I won't go back.
“Only convenient if you want to save time getting to LAX”
Maintenance was poor. Only one elevator was working and it took a long time for it to go through each floor. Room was comfortable, maintained clean and organized.
“source”
Good location, very friendly staff and clean rooms
“Okay for the price”
I can't say enough about the people who worked there - they were super nice at the front desk, fixed a light that went out RIGHT AWAY, and gave great directions. The room was clean, but nothing special. If you go into it expecting a five-star hotel, you're going to be disappointed...but for the price, I thought it was a good option. I do wish there were more restaurants within walking distance, but I didn't feel unsafe. I was only staying for a quick layover, so I didn't get to check out the pool or free breakfast, but the free wireless internet was great.
“Good value for money and close to airport”
Surrounding area is not the nicest but hotel is relatively safe. One elevator was out of order and the other one was slower than a freight elevator. Room was nice an clean and the bedding was excellent. Good business center. Breakfast was good. Free shuttle to/from airport is a nice touch as well. Overall, good value for money if you want to be close to airport.
“Great Resturant around corner”
Very reasonable hotel room, quiet. Excellent Italian/Persian restaurant around the corner. Delicious.
