“One Night Stand”
We only needed to stay the night so we didn't have much interaction with staff. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We were shocked that the parking was $18.00 addtl per night! We were confused when entering from the garage which was located behind the hotel. The signage was poor in getting us into the lobby. You enter in a hall of conference rooms. It was quite late so there were very few people around. We found a service person vacuuming to give us some direction. The room was comfortable but the television was not getting good reception (probably due to the recent storms). All in all a nice night.
“Convenient, good price, and clean”
nice and clean stay.
“What other hidden costs are there?”
I arrived and was told that valet parking was one fee per night, but for $6 less, I could park it myself...I had to go around the block to enter a garage where there were all of 6 spaces I could park, all a fair distance to the back entrance. Internet access was a daily charge and slow to boot. I avoided everything else, becaues I did not know where the next hidden charge would be. What could have been a very nice stay, became a pile of concerns. I will steer clear of Hilton hotels in the future. The great deal seems to have been possible because of renovations to the hotel.
“Hilton Pasadena Review: Still Good After 24 years...!”
I first went to the Hilton Pasadena, and organized a conference there 24 years ago. It was great then, and it is great now. They do a fine job...
“Great Service, Room OK, Lack of Communication between employees”
The service was great. The employees were very friendly and helpful, but someone dropped the ball. The bride to be asked my wife which hotel we were going to stay at, she had some gifts for the guests. We saw the gift bags when we checked in. We stayed the night, went to wedding next day, stayed one more night because it was to late to drive back and we had a couple drinks. We stopped at registration after the party and my wife inquired about the gift. Nobody knew anything, the gift bags were not there. They said they would inquire, but no one got back to us.We checked out the next morning, nothing was said to us about the gift. The Bed was clean and comfortable. Room was Clean. Bathroom could use some detail cleaning.
“Fabulous stay at Hilton Pasadena”
The front desk staff was OUTSTANDING!!!! Top notch all the way. I had just gotten in from a 5 star hotel in Hawaii and this hotel was as great. I highly recommend the hotel. Aaron at the front desk is best! Thanks.
“Very happy with our stay.”
Rooms were great. Staff was friendly. Beds were very comfortable. Great location near the Conference center and shopping. Nice hotel.
“So-So Review”
The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the towels & linens are fresh and new. The air conditioning system, however, was not designed well, at least for the rooms on the 14th floor. The temperature sensor and air flow vents are located in a small niche near the door. The sensor is too close to the vents, so it kept turning the system on and off all night long. The room, however, never really got cool enough. Check the price on the bottle of water in your room before you open it! Breakfast in the hotel is too expensive. There are, however, lots of coffee shops and restaurants in the immediate area.
“Hilton Pasadena”
I love this hotel. It's in a great location. It's very nice and the staff is very kind.
“A good hotel for leisure travelers”
The Pasadena Hilton was very secure, clean, comfortable, and was centrally located for all Los Angeles area activities--it was only an hour and a half from Pt. Mugu (via the Pacific Coast Highway on Labor Day!) and two hours and a bit from Wrightwood (major ski area) via the Angeles Crest Highway on a weekday. So if you'd like to ski and surf on the same trip, Pasadena is the place for you. It's also convenient to museums and shopping, as well as some nice restaurants. I am more accustomed to business hotels and their amenities--microwaves, refrigerators, free wi-fi and a well-stocked sundries counter that's open round-the-clock. The Hilton has none of these things (WiFi is available but you have to pay extra). As well, parking is $18.00 a night (though it seems very secure). Those looking for such perks should try another chain. But the Hilton provided the basics of lodging at very good quality, and in a very good location, at a not-unreasonable price. It is a very safe bet and sure to cause no regrets.
