“Convenient to Universal Studios and Hollywood”
5min walk to Universal Studios and CityWalk complex. Shuttle from hotel to Universal runs 10am-4.30pm. Good quality hotel with great view. One Metro stop away from Hollywood.
“Perfect location”
We enjoyed the close walk to Universal City Walk and the 5k run
“Would stay again”
Good place to stay if you are for Universal Studios, 10 minutes walk to the central gate of the Theme Park. Beds are very comfortable, food is really good.
“Will book again”
Love the breakfast there! And they have free shuttle to Universal Studio Hollywood&City Walk.
“Highly reccommend for short stay”
Shopping and Universal Studio was so close and convenient, shuttle excellent, restaurants excellent
“ONLY ISSUE WAS SLOW CHECK IN”
OVERALL GREAT
“Great for Universal Studios/City walk and also metro red line”
Stayed at Hilton Universal City for 1 week visiting friends and sightseeing. The hotel is conveniently placed for Universal Studios and City Walk. The hotel bar and restaurant prices are high, so meals are expensive. So we only ate breakfast (cereal & coffee off the menu) and used the restaurants in City Walk for evening meals. The hotel room was comfortable and all you expect for a US Hilton. Fridge, coffee, two queen beds, TV & internet (if you pay). The room was well serviced daily. Water never very hot especially am but nothing to complain about. Expedia rates were good and the booking efficient. We stayed in November which meant things were quiet. The hotel is at the top of a hill. Universal offer a shuttle bus to City Walk for their customers otherwise you have to walk 10 minutes to the metro. Harder coming back! The Metro is cheap $5 day ticket to anywhere and not busy. So makes the hotel well placed for sightseeing. The hotel is off the 110 freeway so if you have a car (we didn’t bother) you can get out of LA easily although this is a busy route. The tour buses are useful and stop at the hotel. We took a taxi from LAX to the hotel $90 incl tip and, because it was very wet, the hotel town car back $96. Had planned to use metro red line to Union Station $1.50 and the flyway bus to Lax $7.00.
“perfect stay, great location.. will definetely go back..”
nicee!!
“Good Base for Universal and as base for LA holiday”
We stayed for 9 days and it was a great base to operate from for our holiday. Walking distance to Universal Studios / City Walk, and convenient to get on the 101 to drive to other LA locations. Service was good and meals great when we wanted to eat in. If you want a holiday in LA which is going to include Universal Studios for a day or two then this is a good choice.
“Excellent Stay”
From the Valet attendant to the front desk, we were met with smiles and courtesy. The room was clean and roomy (loved the soap and shampoo!). We would definately stay again.
