“the normal consumer plays second fiddle”

The hotel was nice. The room was clean. The room service was excellent. However, we were there to relax and get some rest. At about 9:00 pm--and continuing until 10:30 pm--there was a lot of noise in the hallway and in the room next door. We could not get any rest. After 45 minutes I investigated, and found that housekeeping was cleaning not only the room next door, but two others across the way -- at 10:00 o'clock at NIGHT! When I asked what was going on, I was treated rather rudely and told that they had to clen up the rooms. "Now?," I said ;at 10 pm? I called the desk and was told that--as a matter of course--they had to rotate and prepare rooms for incoming airline pilots and cruise ship crews. Had I known this in advance, I would not have stayed there...and I will not again.

Area recommendations

Nice restaurants within easy walking distance. Large shopping mall across the street.

“Great hotel”

We stayed for a week and it was one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Very clean, friendly staff, and close to the 405 Freeway. The hotel was full the whole week and you would have never known that to how quiet the rooms are. You never had to wait for an elevator. I cant say enough about the hotel.

“at home in torrance”

the doubletree has maintained a quality experience in torrance since its orginal inception as a holiday inn. it is affordable, clean, safe and it has even better cookies than grandma use to make. when visiting home and relatives in my hometown of torrance it is a comfort to return every evening.

Area recommendations

hawthorne blvd is a convenient route to take to the 405 which takes you everywhere in los angeles! so easy to get around!

“Best Torrance hotel I have ever stayed in !!!”

I have stayed in several hotels in Torrance and this one is the best one for the same price !!! (Thanks Expedia for this). The hotel is very clean and luxurious and the pictures was exactly the same as real. Will definitively return on my next trip.
