“The hotel met our expectations for location & price.”

We were looking for a hotel in that are that was inexpensive just for a one night stay and that hotel filled those expectations. It wasn't anything fancy but one plus was that a free breakfast was included.

“Terrible do not stay here”

The hotel is dirty and out dated. The blankets have cigarette burns in them and stains. I would not let my dog stay in this hotel.

“Friendly Service”

Hotel staff was friendy and rooms were clean. Parking is pretty bad but the staff gladly gave up their parking spot for us!

“Now, I know where I want to stay again.”

The employee at the hotel was very nice and courteous. The place was not that hard to find and it was a nice place. The room was comfy and it was a good place to end the long day for a good price.

“Dirty, Dark, and Noisy”

My room was in a corner with no natural light, just florescent lighting. There were sunflower seeds on my bed, the smell was not good, and it hasn't been updated or maintained in many years. There were people talking outside until midnight. Depressing.

“Close to magic mountain and that's about it...”

The one positive of this hotel is that the staff was super nice. However , the bathroom had gross white stains on the floor, the beds were super hard, and the location was kind of sketchy ( afraid to park my car there) ... overall the only thing going for this place is that it's cheap and close to magic mountain.

“Don't stay here.”

This hotel was probably the worst hotel that I ever stayed at. I should have been called Days Inn Truck Stop. The hotel was at a truck stop exit, nothing around in site. By the "near Six Flags" in there name they mean 8 miles or 15 minutes away. The beds were hard as a rock, it was like you were sleeping on the floor. Upon check-in, multiple light fixtures were missing light bulbs. There were tears in the ceiling and walls. We found blood on our sheets. The air conditioning and heater did not work. The continental breakfast included boxed donuts from the grocery store and waffles. I would not recommend anybody stay at this hotel or even consider it.

“disappointed”

The room was shabby, The bathroom was shabby, the towels were small of poor quality. The wooden cabinets definitely need a lift. Quality did not match the price: not good value

“Ok...for what we paid”

If you're looking for a bed, bath, and clean place to stay while you spend time at Six Flags or Castaic Lake this location is great. When we checked in the hotel lobby was clean and the service was quick and friendly. We went to the room and found we had a small microwave and fridge which is nice when traveling with children. The room was clean and everything seemed to work. Free internet access in both the lobby and room was also much appreciated. On the ground level we found the laundry facilities to be adequate with one washer and dryer in a small closet area. However, the next morning we noticed a few things that could use improvement. The water pressure and temperature was minimal and luke warm respectively no matter when you took a shower. Would have changed rooms but after talking to other guests I felt it would be pointless. Even though we booked the hotel for 2 adults and 2 children we only received 3 towels daily. I went to the front desk and had to ask for more each morning. The breakfast included pre-packaged danish, coffee, orange juice, a hot waffle iron to make your own waffles, and bread to make toast but no jelly. Cold cereals, milk, bagels or muffins would have been greatly appreciated. The pool doesn't open until 2 p.m. in the afternoon and closes at 11 p.m. Not a big deal unless you like an early morning swim. I booked well in advance and so I was able to get a really good rate, but doubt I would have been satisfied paying the hotel's standard room rate.

Area recommendations

Six Flags or Castaic Lake are the main attractions in this area. We didn't have time to enjoy the lake but always have a great time at Magic Mountain. Will be visiting again next year.

When to go

Monday through Friday during the summer guarantees shorter lines at Magic Mountain and lower room rates in comparison to the weekend.

Dining

The Marie Callenders right outside Magic Mountain has great service, good food and budget friendly prices.
