“good hotel in a so-so neighborhood”

Sadly, downtown San Pedro is a bit dicey at night which isn't the hotel's fault, so I just stayed inside and talked to a very nice bartender. The staff at the hotel were very good. I went to take a shower the next morning and couldn't get the water cool enough. Called the front desk and they immediately had an engineer at my room. He wasn't going to be able to fix it in time for me to make my meeting, so he called down to the front desk and they told him to open up a vacant room across the hall I could use. I would call this very responsive service and the staff should be commended. Despite the not so great area, I would stay there again.

Area recommendations

Some good restaurants in town - J. Trani's, Neil's and Casa Tequilla (I think they are still there. Some of the best Machaca I have had)

“Would stay again”

Convenient for pre or post cruise stay. Was surprised to learn of shuttle service from pier to/from hotel. We stayed post cruise and upon arrival staff seemingly was a little "rattled" due to number of travelers needing to get to and from port. Room and clean and comfortable. Would stay again.

“Friendly staff!”

I found this hotel to have the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. Conveniently located. Not too excited over the restaurant. The ONLY real complaint... we were gone the entire day for a workshop. Upon returning, the cleaning staff had not closed our door all the way. Although it appeared to be closed, it was not locked. (we had to double check it each time we closed the door as it did not fully close on its own). Nothing was moved or taken. It just gave me the creeps knowing that someone could have taken all of our luggage, or worse... been waiting in the room when we returned!

Area recommendations

San Pedro is a great area. Feels safe. Beautiful sights. Trump International Golf Club. Great food! Check out Neils Pasta and Seafood and Mishi's Strudel Bakery on 7th!

“Great hotel very fun location”

Very nice hotel in every way with good underground parking. 2nd floor was a dream location since the rooms have pool and patio right outside. Location was very much fun with a hundred year old rail system to take you up and down the warf area which was filled with dozens of interesting fresh seafood restaruants, and fountains, museums etc ets.

“Good for San Pedro area”

I need a comfortable bed, clean and quiet room. This hotel had all those things. I went hiking all day, thus wasn't interested in the night life around the hotel (fyi, there isn't much). It did have a view of the harbor, which I found delightful, if you like exploring the local scene.

“close to cruise port”

I was really happy with the hotel, since I had chosen the price without knowing the name of it or the exact location . The shuttle service to the dock and back after out cruise was great. Hardly got off of the ship and went out to look for shuttle and it was there loading. another one drove up as we took off. Clean rooms and a wonderful stay. The pool was the cleanest I have ever seen, even though the weather was too cold the first two days: it was heated and there is a nice hot tub there too. The only thing we missed was a free continental breakfast. They have a resturant there instead.

“will stay here again”

This was a great hotel for the money! Room was clean and bed comfortable. We stayed here two days before our cruise and 3 days after. The pool was heated and clean, clean clean. It is so close to the port of cruises, and the shuttle ran every 15 minutes. The shuttle drivers have to deal with a lot of rude people and I thought that they handled themselves very well.(that was a lot of heavy luggage to put on there, especially hard for the one female driver we had coming back from the cruise.) Again, I feel this was a good deal and would recommend it to all.

“Pre-cruise”

Thishotel is a perfect stay before a cruise leaving San Pedro. There is a good restaurant and bar area (with outdoor seating) and there are c onvenient restaurants and shops in the surrounding neighborhood. Very comfortable beds!

“Crowne Plaza needs help”

Checked in. Because I was an Amabassador member I was upgraded to a mini-suite. However, this was no treat. The room and its fittings are old (old TV; small closet with a door that bangs against the bathroom door; very few outlets - none convenient for a laptop). Parking garage was free but poorly organized and getting back into the hotel from the top level was not at all obvious or well documented.
