Great hotel for the price - Was in a great location that provided easy driving to most parts of Los Angeles. Staff were friendly, and the room was comfortable and clean. Hotel was undergoing some maintenance but there was no noise or disruptions - Imagine the hotel will be even better once it has been completed! Gladly recommend this hotel
“Great location and comfort”
Marina del Rey is a great place to stay and this hotel is located well for a trip to LA...not too close to the bustling center, but easy to get to many attractions from here. The breakfast was wonderful every morning and the staff very courteous and helpful. We didnt use the pool, but it looked quite nice. There is only one negative and really this should be settled between Expedia and the Courtyard hotel management: we were three adults to a room and we had put three adults on our Expedia reservation. The room as booked for tgree days promised free breakfast. When we checked in, the receptionist gave us a breakfast card which stated it was for two adults, but clearly we were tree. She said that we would be fine since the hotel knew we were three to a room. On the second morning, the morning supervisor visits us in the breakfast room and tells us that their breakfast card is only for two and that we will have to pay for the third person. We spent over 40 minutes while he clinked some keys on his computer and finally, he said he would take it up with the day manager and we would have to return and talk to him. Later that day, more time out of our vacation, the day manager said he would comp the breakfast this once while we tried to make our case that Expedia had clearly indicated that three breakfasts were free. So, I hope that this situation is resolved as soon as possible so no more vacationers have to spend their time on this issue.

was advised upon checkin at 12:00 am that the hotel is undergoing renovation and that the building process starts at 8 am. when the trucks started clunking around at 4:30 in the morning i thought it was the garbage truck and then they would come back a few minutes later...when i called the front desk i was told that no, construction doesnt start until 8 am and when i told them there is a delivery truck outside my window and that i didnt get any sleep, I was told that they have been delivering furniture all morning. i was moved to a quieter room for the next night but there was no kind of compensation whatsoever...will not go back there until the renovation is complete.
“From our home in atlanta to our home in LA”
Great hotel! We were treated like royalty! Our room was always very clean and the staff was friendly. Nico saw to our every need and the entire staff was extremely professional and warm. This hotel has totally spoiled us for any other hotel we may stay at in other cities. From the time we checked in until the day we left we were able to relax and enjoy our time. We will never stay anywhere else when in LA. We will definitely choose Courtyard again during our travels to other cities thanks to our experience at Courtyaard Marina del rey .

“Good Location, Good Restaurants”
Very nice staff. Clean room with two queen beds. A little noisy due to numerous delivery trucks arriving early to grocery store next door. Numerous restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Would recommend hotel, but suggest you stay on the courtyard side of the hotel.

Overall a very good hotel--clean and friendly and in a good location near Venice Beach, Santa Monica as well as good restaurants like El Torito.
“The sound of heating”
The heating system is very old and make very hard noise so that you have to choose between being cold and try to sleep or being no cold but unable to sleep because of tne noise....
