“Great Value in LA”

This is the second time in 2011 that we stayed here. It is funky, wonderfully located and has an attached eatery which is open 24 hours and serves high quality food with some vegitarian and vegan items always available.

“Even better than I hoped for!”

The place was clean, spacious, very cool and right next door to the Swingers restaurant which had big serves of some great food! Customer service was also outstanding!

Area recommendations

West Hollywood is close enough to everything and LA is a good town for bus tours which I'd never really done before.

“Great neighborhood, okay accommodation.”

The Beverly Laurel was fine. The rooms are noisy and a bit musty if you don't get a renovated room. I requested a change to a renovated room, which was granted and much more pleasant. The location is fantastic, especially if you plan to do any shopping as it is directly between The Beverly Center and The Grove.

“Good hotel; great location”

I have stayed here a number of times and while some of the rooms are rather well worn, they are large and comfortable. The location is a major attraction.

Area recommendations

West Hollywood is a diverse and relaxed neighbourhood. Close to Beverly Hills and Hollywood but without the hype of either of these areas.

“acceptable budget choice”

If you like mid20th century motel style, you will enjoy the funky grunge of this hotel. It was reasonably clean. The bed was uncomfortable, though.

Friendly, clean and great location. Mid wilshire for LACMA , The Grove and Farmer's Market. Quick bus up to Hollywood attractions.

“Good for the price”

The hotel looks pretty shabby from the outside but is nice inside. It works well if you just need a place for 1 or 2 nights and aren't going to be there much.
