“What a find!”

This was an easy-to-get to hotel right near my appointment the next day on Wilshire Blvd. Staff was great. The room was very nicely refurbished and comfortable. Nice to have water and coffee in the room, as well as free wifi. I would recommend this little hotel to anyone.

“Comfy Californai Stay”

We stayed here while my daughter had medical tests at Cedars-Sinai. It was centrally located and very nice. Very clean and staff were very accomodating.

“Good enough, but attention to detail in Maintenance Recommended. Would go again!”

Overall the Best Western Carlyle Inn was decent. Though a few things could be addressed in the room we stayed. First, the HVAC system was very noisy. The vent cover for the heat/AC was not secured tight and rattled. There was a very large stain on the sitting arm chair. This isn't such an issue, but one would think housekeeping might suggest replacing/re-upholstering it cause it just doesn't reflect care or attention to detail. Same with the HVAC.

“Small boutique hotel in LA”

We were very impressed with this small hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was ideal for our purposes. The rooms were a good size and had nice bed linens. There was ample parking at the hotel but we chose to park at the meters on the street which were free after 6:00 PM. I would highly recommend the Carlyle Inn to anyone who wants a central LA hotel.

“I warmed up to it”

When I pulled in, I must admit I was a bit skeptical....neighborhood was OK but the building looked sort of dingy from the outside and the parking confused me a bit (was there a valet or not?). However, over the course of 5 days, I really started to like my little hotel :> Rooms were small but clean and comfortable - no noise and beds/pillows were good. The breakfast was nothing special but offered something to start my day with - coffee was decent. Nice little seating areas on the sun deck and courtyard area. Very convenient location and a nice price for an LA hotel! They should have some working vending machines with both beverages and food in them. Wi-fi signal was kind of weak.

“great art deco style hotel once inside”

hotel rooms very clean and unique. parking was lacking. and if you drive somthing bigger than a vw parking will be tight. hotel is well hide. drove by several times with gps before finding. service was excellent. breakfast was avarage. but tables were kept clean.

“Check out the balcony!”

Would stay again, 100%. Really beautiful hotel, nice room, excellent service, great staff, good breakfast. CONS: Weren't ready to check me in when I arrived. However, they took my bags and stored them while the room was prepped.

“Fringe of Beverly Hills; Excellent Value”

I was pleased with this hotel. The location was convenient for me and the room was quiet and very comfortable. It seemed a bit of an oasis on this rather dingy block of Robertson, but overall I was satisfied and I will return. Parking fee was a bit of an annoyance, but understandable.

Area recommendations

Beverly Hills shopping is quite convenient. Near CBS televsion Center if you are going to see a show taping.

“Perfect jewel of a boutique hotel.”

I was looking for a hotel close to my son's neighborhood to stay in during my five day visit with him in Los Angeles. I was so relieved and happy when I stepped away from the busy street into a nice front lobby where the clerks were unfailingly thoughtful, helpful and good natured. Up and out the elevator where a lovely open-aired courtyard let me enjoy the courtesy breakfast each morning to start the day refreshed and calm. The room was perfect, the bathroom luxurious and best of all, the staff was always courteous with smiles greeting me and thoughtfully asking me if I needed anything. I will be happy to go back to this oasis in a busy city. I loved it!

“great value for the price”

The room was clean, modern and comfortable. A bit small though, but for the price it was fine. The "restaurant" really isn't one... but they do serve a free continental breakfast which included the usual fruits, breads, juices, etc... but they go one step further and have a waffle maker and served an egg dish every morning as well. The neighborhood is 1/2 block outside of Beverly Hills, a short walk to all the great shopping and nice restaraunts.
