“Not the friendliest place in town, but cleaner than most!”
I checked in, saw my room number, and saw a man on a chair, AT MY DOOR, smoking up a storm. I asked clerk how my room can be nonsmoking. I was given a new room, on another floor with BIGFOOT right above! I had a tiny refrigerator that was hummed as if about to take flight, but kept things very cold when I turned the dial up a notch. The bathroom light/fan could wake up the dead, and everyone on any wall. They had a great alarm clock with night lite, AM/FM, timer, sleep, and wake to radio or alarm buzz that really worked great but I didn't need it with all the noise. No room service but delivery from outside restaurants. Data port, 5 HBO, upfront channels for local info. PLENTY of light with seven different, light fixtures. A separate eating table AND a desk. Canadian furniture, pleasing to the eye, solid, comfortable. A king size bed that sleeps like the luxurious Embassy Suites, but that would be all! The bed covering was stained EEWW! with wannabe blanket, -half the size it should have been, thin & useless. Htg/AC great. Pillows (4) small and comfortable, not balloons. A clean, working microwave. The 4-cup coffee maker water reservoir and filter holder were NOT clean. There were plenty of towels, not like like emery boards, but could fall right into the commode! LASTING HOT WATER! :) Tiny bars of soap, tiny shampoos and conditioners by Pantene, 1 reg/1decaf coffee pod, and condiments. Hair dryer! Free Breakfast very good, coffee fresh. Office staff abrupt, except Raj,-nice.
“Clean but disorganized”
Very convenient to the airport and car rentals. The room was reasonably quiet. Breakfast is included and tasty, but set up in a way that prevents good access to the food. The sleeping room was very clean but small things were not right: the bottom sheet did not go all the way to the end of the bed, and the mattress cover was did not fully cover the mattress. The ice bucket was not emptied from the night before. Good news: the coffee supplies were not in the same room as the toilet. Staff at the front desk were exceptionially nice and were helpful. Free printing for boarding passes. I would stay again.
“Economical and close to airport”
This Hotel was closely located to the airport. Our only concern was how safe the area was as there were cameras everywhere and the Duty Manager was locked behind a secured area which did not make us feel very safe. We had to leave the motel to do our washing at a nearby Laundromat. It was dissapointing that the hotel did not provide in the safety of its confines their own washing facilities. The Duty Manager on our arrival was excellent. Giving us advice on returning our rental vehicle and allowing us to print out our flight confirmation details.
“A good choice”
It met my needs and my budget well. I was on a quick business trip and didn't need anything fancy. The cleaniliness and breakfast was a bit better than expected! I appreciated having eggs and waffles at breakfast.
“will come back if need to be in LA”
It's a small, but nice setup. The front desk is very friendly and understandable. Although it is not that close to the LAX, you can get around with the hotel's shuttle van. You can negotiate with the hotel for the pick-up and drop-off. The best thing in the hotel is the breakfast. It is a continental plus, not a one with just a bagel and milk.
“LA Airport option”
This is a fair option for LA Airport. Not as fancy as others but clean, confortable, and has free parking.
“"workable"”
You get what you pay for. The place is on the oldish side but still well kept up. The breakfast by the amazing small pool was a fitting way to start off the day.
“too bad”
never stay a hotel like this. kind of mess and let you feel like you want to run away when I stepped in the hotel, but when you out for food you will be caught by those street bums at the corners then you will run back to your hotel room feeling more distressed. the smell of room was also bad. traffic noise from the window..worst of all is the breakfast not only because the quality when you bite you will expel out but also there was a bum from the street stepped in to the narrow dinning place with full plate taking out half of the food yelled to the people around him. terrible..
“Comfortable and afforfable”
The hotel was a two night stopover and was booked because of the close proximity to the airport. free shuttle and the free breakfast. The rooms was quite large, very clean with a reasonably comfortable bed. The room had a fridge but no eating utensils which wold have been useful. The area around the hotel was OK but a bit isolated. Even though is was only two miles form the hotel it felt like 5-10 miles. There was a nearby local shopping centre with a large supermarket and the usual array of fast food places to eat. The hotel staff were very helpful and polite. The hotel is a pick up point for a number of tours of LA and local theme parks. The hotel organised door to door pickups which was very convenient. Breakfast was minimal. They had a toaster which actually allowed us to cook it to our liking as apposed to pale insipid cold toast which was great. The rest of the food was pretty ordinary as we are not accustomed to the standard sickly sweet US breakfast fare and I was not game to try the pre cooked omelette wrapped in plastic wrap. Overall the hotel was pretty good for the price and much better that others we had stayed at on the trip and paid a lot more for. I would recommend it for those needing a reasonable quality hotel thats close and easy to get to from LAX.
“Best Western Airport Plaza Inn”
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, my friend recommaned us go to this hotel because of convenience. At the last day we left 9:00am for check out, and stay 9:30 to wait the shutter bus and around 10:00am in airport. I found out i lost my cell phone. I called the hotel reception tell them the cell phone just left under pillow because I used this as the alarm clock. But they told me can't find it & no returned call to me no matter I left my husband cell's phone #. It is impossible except someone get my cell phone. Because When we're out the door at 9:00am, the cleaning lady asked us isn't can check out, she wanted to cleaning. During this period we still in hotel. The cell phone is not much money because is the old model, but it is an important for me so much information inside. I feld very disappointed for the dis-honest of someone behaviour. How can I stay again this hotel to put my stuffs there trust this hotel is safety.
