Helpful staff, great surroundings

Posted 28-Mar-2015
The staff accommodated my (very) early check in, and made the entire stay comfortable and simple. Rooms were cleaned very well, and food from room service arrived quickly. The cafe downstairs was great for breakfast, and were really helpful when I had to get in and out quickly one morning. I hope to stay there again some day!

Not a family hotel. Not welcoming. Dark

Posted 21-Mar-2015
Party hotel in an extremely busy spot. If you would like to spend your hard earned money to be snubbed by staff at check in, to have a parking lot view (what they call the hills view), to receive poppy seeds bagel for breakfast (because they ran out of both wheat and plain bagel), to be uncomfortably surrounded by buzzed people in the pool; then this is the hotel for you. This was a shockingly bad Hyatt since we use Hyatt a lot and always liked it. I'll never fall for a boutique hotel again of any brand. They are pointless for anyone with good judgement and good taste. If this is an experiment for Hyatt, it is another example of a great company losing focus and they should quit it. By the way, probably the least paid staff such as valet and housekeeping were very kind and perfect.

Hyatt Hotel with a very "boutique" feel

Posted 15-Mar-2015
Pros: Location, hotel staff, boutique feel, in-room & lobby complimentary water, fresh fruit, coffee/ tea & snacks.
Cons: Can't think of anything! Everything was upscale & professional - absolutely fantastic.
Location: Grauman's Chinese Theatre, Warner Bros studio tour, taping of live TV late-night show, Venice & Santa Monica beaches, The Grove shopping & dining
Immediately upon entering we were warmly greeted by the one of the hotel managers (Dean) and offered a complimentary glass of wine. We loved the "boutique" feel of the lobby. Gone was the traditional check in/ out/ concierge counter/desk replaced by a circular, stream-lined, modern "stand" where there was never less than 4 hotel employees ready to assist with any/ all questions and accommodation requests. The service/ staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and professional at all times. The rooms were clean, modern and very comfortable with a understated whimsical / rock & roll feel keeping with the rock-star rich hotel history. The roof-top pool/ bar was gorgeous with an amazing view of West Hollywood, downtown LA and beautiful hill-top homes. My husband and I were traveling with 5, 18 year old college freshman girls on Spring break and must say that the complimentary in-room mini-bar (non-alcoholic) snacks/ refreshments re-stocked daily along with complimentary coffee/ tea & fresh fruit offered in the lobby was a star feature. It greatly added to our relaxation as it avoided feeling like we had to run out for snacks/ waters as any other hotel would charge up to $10 per water bottle/ snack, (as was the case at our next destination hotel in San Diego). The importance of this accommodation for us cannot be overstated! We are definitely coming back.

Great hotel !!!

Perfect location for a weekend get away. Easy enough drive to the beach as well as site seeing areas. Great for a night out, walking distance so little need for taxi's. Free wine from 5pm is a great idea :), loved the coffee downstairs before heading out.

Very convenient

I would recommend it. My room faced sunset blvd and it had a nice balcony room, separate from the bed room. Room was clean and they even contained complimentary snacks and water/juice. The only extra mini bar costs were for alcohol.

Posted 11-Feb-2015
Pros:
Cons:
Carney's 。House Of The BluesやWhiskey A Go Go、ROXYなどのライブハウスに 歩いていける。

Such history and a great location.

Posted 01-Feb-2015
Pros: Everything! The staff, the history, the room, the location.
Location: You are at the centre of Sunset Strip. Do some prior research and find ou the history of the hotel and the venues that surround you.
An absolute must for anyone interested in music history (from the 40's through to the late 70's in particular) and those who want a central location on Sunset Strip.
