Great staff! They were friendly and very helpful. Staff called when a family member forgot a valuable in the room to let us know that they found it. Hotel is close to CSULB which we were visiting. Didn't stay there very long but we will return if we are in the area again.

The room was not what I was use to with Best Western. The bathroom is/dirty with mold like stains on the ceiling and walls, the light fixture was very rusty also.

The breakfast was good. It was a hot breakfast and it had a lot of options. I would definitely stay there again. The only thing was our room wasn't cleaned even though we had the sign out to clean. They did apologize and informed us to let the desk know.

Nice quick getaway
Nice clean room. Only thing the bed was too soft so staying 2 nights left us sore. Also it was very noisy in the early mornings but what can you expect.

This is a fantastic hotel and I will definitely be staying here again when in the area. The room was large and spacious and everything was very clean and the nice. The staff was fantastic, the breakfasts were great, and there was good parking. I felt safe here. Thank you for such a fantastic stay!

The guy at the front desk took a bit to help me, gave me keys that didn't work (I was on the third floor so had to walk back down), and also didn't urnderstand that I had prepaid with Expedia and tried to charge me again. The beds were sqeaky and the room with the torn up couch smelled strongly of urine. The breakfast was great with lots of selections, however, Probably the only positive.

The room we stayed (202)was spacious and neat. The beds were soft and we slep well during our stay. It had all the amenities in the room like the microwave, fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer and they were are well kept. The hot breakfast was a bonus when we had to start early both days. They were simple but delicious. The day we stayed we had egg scramble, sausage, french toast, 3 cereals, milk, coffee, tea, yogurt, waffle maker, bread toaster etc. They even had a pool and jacuzzi. It was a 10 min ride to the long beach airport and 25 min to the disney land.

I was charged both of my cards. My debit card which I booked with and stated, book now pay at the property. So when I arrived I paid with my CC cared. But my debit card had been charged an authorization before I even arrived and was not released until I checked out 5 days later. So $902 was not available in my account to spend on vacation that entire time. It was not OK. I called the bank and they told me that Best Western had to release the hold and they would not. even though the payment from my cc that was used when I arrived had already gone through. Very inconvenient and no one told me, so use the card you are going to pay with when booking other wise your money is in the cloud somewhere until you check out!!!

I did not like having a room inside a parking garage, noisy, bright lights, no darkening curtain, room was clean enough but everything is old. Same fruit put out two days in a row. Staff nice enough. I am disappointed in rating, and will no longer trust expedia.

Made a room reservation and paid through Expedia. Arrived at the hotel and had to pay again. (Good thing I had my credit card) Went to go to our room and smelled a gross odor. Didn’t think anything of it until we opened the door and the smell of dead, putrid, rotting animal hit our noses. My girlfriend was gagging/vomiting from the stench. Went to inform the attendant and it seemed like she didn’t believe us so she went to go check it, confirming that it did indeed smell like death. She apologised after speaking with her manager and refunded our money because the hotel was sold out. She did not offer to look for another hotel and pretty much said we were SOL. She kept repeating the same, insincere quotes when she could have been looking for a place to stay AT THEIR cost. It’s not our fault their hotel smelled like death and they were sold out. It gets worse. I called hotel to confirm it was going to be refunded through Expedia and same attendant said yes. Thank God I had enough sense not to trust her and called Expedia. If I didn’t I would not be getting a refund. Terrible terrible experience

Nice hotel in a cute area—small issue with payment
Our stay was pretty great. We stayed here because it was part way between universal studios and Disneyland and was reasonably priced. We were pleasantly surprised by how big the room was and the location having such good family owned restaurants around. They had complimentary breakfast in the morning, but we didn’t get up early enough to try any of it (it’s a nice perk though!). The only complaint about our stay was that my card had 2 separate holds for the entire amount of the stay and by the time I noticed it I was told that I’d have to wait 5-10 business days for the money to get refunded to my account. It’s not so much that it happened (because I get paying ahead of time and then having a deposit) but I was mainly annoyed that when I brought it up to the front desk I was told “oh yeah that’s been happening a lot and a lot of people are getting mad”. Which tells me this is a common issue and they should be altering customers ahead of time that even if their card is pre-authorized before their stay, they will also be having a hold of the entire amount as well, essentially costing double until the deposit is released and the money is refunded/posted back to their bank account.

The gentleman at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. He recommended a great restaurant within walking distance, Shenandoah. We loved it! There were also quaint little shops nearby.
