I had a late check-in, which went very smoothly. The bed and pillows were soft and the wake-up call was great. I wasn't able to make it to the phone and the front man knocked on the door to make sure I was up. Breakfast in-room was fast and fresh.
"We attended a wedding there and stayed one night."
We have had two weddings here so far and have opted to stay over both times. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The new bar off the lobby is a great place for a drink or to meet friends. The our cocktail server and waiter at the wedding were exceptional. We were well taken care of!

Had a wonderful stay in the newly renovated ocean rooms. These are clearly a notch above the rest of the hotel, and worth the trouble, if you can afford it. Spa is a little disappointing, but the beach is great, especially off season. Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. It would be nice if the breakfast buffet was extended to weekdays, but off-season, one can understand why it wouldn't. All in all, would definitely return, although definitely off-season!
"On a Whim and a Prayer for The Labor Day Weekend"
Thursday Aug 28, 2014 East Hampton. We had visited friends and decided to extend our beach time. I looked for and found a few places ($3000.00). Anyway I also came across Kenny's Tipperary Inn, 1room available $270 fees so we booked it. Jamie the manager greeted us and even escorted me to our room #36. Everything looked fine. We were enjoying the area and the ocean so much that when we returned to the Inn late after dinner we decided to see if we could book another night (labor day weekend). Jamie was gone and there was only a little buzzer on the desk. we buzzed and waited a couple of minutes; in comes a gentleman who informs us there is one room available however because of the holiday weekend it's a "substantially higher rate ($425 fees per night)" and it must be booked for the entire 3 day weekend. We told him we were sorry but we couldn't afford that. We chatted a bit and came to find out he was the owner and we had a few things in common the chat got longer and next thing we knew he was giving us the one single night at a special rate but we would have to be moved to room #34 (no problem here) Thank you Mr Kenny. The location, the free beach passes, the service, the clean pool the friendliness and customer service gives this place the five stars. I can't lie there were a couple of issues with the rooms, a non working hair dryer and bathrooms could use a little TLC, but then again I've had those issues in top hotels that charge more. We'll be back.

I highly recommend this hotel. We stayed just one night but thought it was very nice. We arrived late and the lounge was closed but when we asked about getting a glass of wine, they opened the lounge (which is like an old lovely library). The rooms were not large, but they were fine, clean and had keurig coffee makers. They provided a nice full breakfast. My mother (95 years old) was with us and had no problems getting around with her walker. There was a wonderful restaurant next door called the Hendrix Tavern (I'm hoping I got that right), and we had a great meal.
I stayed in the Allegria for one night, which was one night too many. The room's air conditioning didn't work, and I had to call maintenance three times before anyone even showed up to fix it. And then they had to come back literally three times, and still didn't get it working.
The next day when checking out, the hotel's management kindly let me know that if I had any issues I would have to take them up with Expedia, they couldn't do anything to assist. So a full-price, overpriced, frustrating experience for an uncomfortable evening with very little actual sleep. I won't even go into the experience at the on-site restaurant, but that's got another several reasons to never stay here again.
Unfortunately there are not any other real options for places to stay in Long Beach, so it looks like I won't be going back there anytime soon.
