“Classy hotel”

We stayed here for one day during a wedding. Lobby was gorgeous, breakfast area, nice bar, check in and lots of room to hang out. The shuttle to and from the wedding reception made the difference. Very classy hotel.

“Airfreshner and room maintenance needed.”

As soon as I walked in the hotel had that musty smell of an old hotel. The room had the same musty smell. The light socket on the lamp was hanging out and based on the warped lampshade had been awhile.

“LAST CALL”

WELL, i DECIDED TO VISIT THE BAR .... WITH 8 PEOPLE SITTING, AND A LARGE GROUP OF MID TWENTY PEOPLE GATHERING IN THE LOBBY ( READY TO DRINK) THE BARTENDER ANNOUNCES "last call" aFTER A FEW MINUTES THE MANAGER (?) REOPENED THE BAR, AND AFTER A HLF HOUR THE BARTENDER RETURNED ....... MY PARTY OF FOUR WERE READY TO WALK ACROSS TO APPLEBEES, THEIR BAR WAS OPENED. NY BARS TYPICALLY ARE OPENED TILL 4AM. THANKS EUGENE

“Ruining the Sheraton Name”

The first two floors of the hotel surround the bar & the event center. The hotel is old so they did not take into consideration the sound that travels/ echoes from the first two floors. They moved us to 2 rooms on the 1st & 2nd (which had mold on the ceiling, a hole in the wall from a picture being torn down and a dirty couch) floor although I stated the problem would be the same. They moved us to the 4th floor facing the event center which you could still hear the pounding of the speakers in the event room. The event was suppose to end at 11 but it continued on. I rang the manager and he arrogantly & condescending told me that this is to be expected in a public place as if I was in Park or Madison Square Garden and not a hotel. I have stayed in their hotels outside the USA – Great Barrier Reef Australia & Phuket in Thailand and the staff and hotel were lovely, I’m extremely disappointed in both the hotel conditions and the staff.

Marriott - it's not too far and much nicer from the rooms to the staff!!

“Great for Wedding Guests”

Traveled from out of town to stay here for friends wedding. Hotel had a very pretty lobby area, friendly and helpful staff, and clean guestrooms. Only complaint would be that renovations made the exterior of the hotel and eyesore.

“Nothing is Free”

I thought I read on Expedia's site that this hotel had free breakfast and free WiFi. Oh, no. They wanted to charge extra for everything. $10 a day for WiFi and breakfast prices that were "pricey". Expedia may say we get things for free, but this hotel wasn't giving away anything.

“not bad”

The hotel itself is very nice and comfortable. The room was well kept and spacious enough. the bathroom was very clean, which is always a big deal for me. Climate control system is on the loud side. If you're a light sleeper, that might be important to you. I'd stay there again.

“great long island find”

VERY CLEAN, VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF. HOTEL LOCATION EXCELLENT FOR LOCAL GET AWAY. PET FRIENDLY .POOL AND HOT TUB AVAILABLE. ALTHOUGH HOT TUB WAS NOT WORKING THE NIGHT WE WENT, STILL WOULD GO BACK AND HOPE THAT IT WAS . EXCELLENT FOR FAMILIES TO GET TOGETHER FOR A WEEKEND AWAY. CLOSE TO MANY ATTRACTIONS AND EASY ACCESS TO LIE.
