“Cozy and out of the way”

Picked this hotel from other reviews all around the internet, used Google Maps to see the surrounding area was very quite and safe (industrial businesses, so no pretty views). Near Long Island MacArthur Airport and just about an hour into the city driving. Would gladly stay there again.

Great hotel, convenient, clean and the staff are always very courteous. The rooms are always very clean and the beds are comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Long Island as it is centrally located and right down the street from the airport and train station.

“Great overnight hotel”

The hotel was very nice. Service people were okay - did their job. The hotel was in a good location and very clean. The only issue we had was the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke in our non-smoking room. It was also in the hallways and elevator. We only stayed one night and for an overnight stay this was perfect.

“Great decision to stay at LaQuinta Inn at McArthur Airport on Long Island, NY.”

Location was superb--hotel was the closest to McArthur Airport on Long Island, NY. Breakfast was far better than the usual donuts & coffee menu you see in some places. Staff was professional & friendly. Answered my questions completely. I would recommend them by name but they did not have any ID name tags on. Would definitely recommend this facility to others & would most assuredly stay there again.

“Quite Satisfactory”

Hotel is located in a convenient part of the airport-industrial area, not too noisy, and close to the airport. You have to drive a bit to the commercial and shopping areas, though. The rooms are clean and comfortable, although I would have appreciated a few more pillows in my room (since the room pillows are very thin and did not support my neck and head well, a common problem with chain hotels). There's plenty of parking, with exits to two different streets. On the down side, some of the cable television channels did not work (the main desk was aware of the problem). Overall, we were satisfied with LaQuinta Islip.

“Very nice and affordable...would go back again.”

The hotel was very nice, room clean, comfy beds etc. I found that the room was a little small to be called a "suite", however, it served it's purpose. There were a couple of inconveniences but nothing that would stop me from coming back. I had to get a new room key twice because it just stopped working for some reason. And also, although I paid for my stay in full through Expedia, the reservation clerk accidentally charged my card for the entire stay AGAIN instead of the $100 for incidentals...an honest mistake. Overall, a very nice hotel, super close to MacArthur airport and major highways. I'd stay there again.
