“Not what was promised”

Good breakfast, Beds were very uncomfortable, first room they showed me to had no power. 2nd room was better but still had outlets that didnt work. Internet was sporadic. Stairs to upper level were not in good repair. Nice breakfast and good coffee thoug.

“Clean But Old”

This room/hotel was probably modern in the 1960's, but needs a remake today. On the second floor there is an outside wood slat walkway. When anyone passes it is very noisy. If anyone is staying in the 2 'suites" above the second floor, don't day there. I came in in the early afternoon and it sounded like a gym. People were argueing and clomping around in what sounded like hunting boots. I complained to management and they said no one is in these rooms. I told them they had better check because people are definitely in there.

“Great hotel for the price,if you dont mind a motel configuation”

The rooms were clean and comfy,but it is set up more like a motel in that you park in front of your room door.We chose a room in the back of the complex so as to enjoy the quiet.There are a number of large catering halls in Woodbury and if your from out of town and comming for a Wedding/Event at one of them this place is a very economical alternative to a multi -floor hotel and closer then all of them.

“Wonderful Spot to Just Get Away”

I stayed at this hotel for one night and the service was wonderful. I checked in very quickly and received shuttle service to where I wanted to go when I wanted to go there. There was also a free breakfast in the morning that was very good.

“Old, but very clean and comfortable”

Not the newest place in town, but well maintained and clean. Minor problem with door locks were fixed in a very few minutes. Much cleaner than the 4 star we stayed in on the way to NY. The people we interacted with were extremely friendly and willing to help with anything. Definately worth staying at again..AND the price was much cheaper than the big guys!

Area recommendations

Almost any place (with a current map!) NY, especially Long Island has so many options, if you can't find 10 you like...go home and don't travel!

Dining

The Bagel place across the street is great any time. For that matter the motel breakfast is more than adequate and the price is right!

“generally good with one big exception”

The front desk staff were quite pleasant and helpful and the room was a standard business/ efficiency quality similar to The Courtyard chain. Bed was comfortable and everyting was in good working order. Tiny refrigerator and pool just behind a fence to muffle the traffic sounds. For reasons unexplained THE WATER WAS COMPLETELY TURNED OFF IN THEAFTERNOON !!! NOFAUCET - NO TOLIET -NO SHOWER.(and no warning) This was a sigificant problem for us since we were in town for an afternoon wedding and it took two phone calls and 30 minutes before we could shower.

The area is a very busy commercial street but it has several amazing delis and retro-style diners with scratch kitchens
