“Not as advertised.”
This was supposed to be an exceptional hotel and it wasn't. The room was dreary, carpets old, thin towels, TINY soap bars, etc. However, the bed was comfortable.

The breakfast was very basic and cold. the rooms needed updated worn wood panals and water stains from damp
“Hotel Derry absolutely perfect!”
The location of the hotel was absolutely perfect!! The room was neat and clean and just as the hotel description noted. We were very happy and pleased.
“Location, location, location. Everything else is downhill from there at this 2-star hotel”
Everything is wrong with this hotel. They forgot my a wake-up call. They charged 60p for a (non-existent) wake-up call. When it's 55oF outside, the rooms are 80oF , humid, and uncomfortable. No A/C, and the windows only crack open an inch. The underground parking garage is hard to locate, and requires contravening a "do not enter" sign to access. A routine single traveler checking in took well over 10 minutes, with the hotel clerk fumbling his way through the process. The rooms are dull, uninviting, and the breakfast was the worst I had in my trip to Ireland. The staff seemed unknowledgable about the city; for a late night dinner, I was directed to a Chinese buffet while they managed to neglect the fact that there were numerous take-out restaurants that were far closer and open late. The main plus is that it is inside the walled city; but the minuses far outweigh the pluses and there has to be better comfort to be had in Londonderry.

The hotel is located in an ideal place and is the only hotel within the City walls, it has a free car park, Very comfortable beds and the rooms are clean and well set out. The overall service is very good.

Excellent location. Walking distance to everything in the wall city. Room was nice. Better directions would be helpful.
“Great location”
This is a perfect location for a one - day exploration of the Wall and the bogside. The parking garage is underneat the building. Access i a bit hard to find, due to one way streets - you must travel counterclockwist around the block. Everything else was just fine.
“Very nice, modern hotel in city center”
Brand new hotel, everything was excellent except we had no free wireless internet in the room (although this has been common throughout Ireland). However, we were able to get 30 minutes free internet through the public access network! Highly recommended. Clean, comfortable, safe, walking distance to city center and pubs.

“Se proprio vi capita di andare a Derry, dovete alloggiare qui!”
Derry è un paese sperduto dove dalle 17 in poi non c'è più assolutamente un'anima viva in giro..e dire che la città è piccolissima, in mezz'ora si gira tutta! L'hotel è bello e confortevole, anche le camere standard.
