Fantastic atmosphere and room

Posted 16-Feb-2015
Everything as fantastic and everyone was amazingly helpful. The room was gorgeous and so was the amazing view from the balcony. The only thing that let my stay down was the room service some of the food was colder than it should be but all tasted amazing! However mistakes happen and wouldn't fault anything but the cold food!

Below average hotel

Posted 08-Feb-2015
Hotel was subpar in every material way. Repeatedly has to chase down front desk for resolution/ response to an issue. I was also sent to gym by front desk )outside vendor) only to be turned away as the hotel and gym no longer had a "relationship". Would never stay here again

Under renovation, incredibly slow breakfast

Posted 07-Feb-2015
Pros: The room, including the bathroom, were great. Nespresso machine (although would have appreciated stocking it daily).
Cons: Breakfast and breakfast Service!!
Location: Nothing to do nearby but Close to tube.
The Restaurant is under renovation. Unfortunately, I don't know if this means that the breakfast Service/Quality is just bad now or if this is always a theme, but it was atrocious. It took over a half hour to even take my order and just as Long to get my Food, which was very poor Quality. Made me overlook the nice things about the Hotel, including a great, upgraded room, which was perfect for working out in my room. The Hotel does not offer any views and not much in the way of things to do around it, but it is Close to Bank and anywhere you want to get to easily in the City.

Great building, great staff, but rooms too dark

Posted 24-Nov-2014 on Hotels.com
Staff were helpful and professional. In rooms: too little light; not possible to find coffee cups in the cupboard due to constant darkness, even when underpowered lights in room were all all turned on. Lighting switches also poorly placed. In restaurant: toast is presented in the UK way, ie on a cooling rack so that it becomes cold and brittle immediately (under cloth to keep warmth is evolved norm). Butter frozen solid and so unspreadable. Too bad.

Stylish alternative to the city centre mainstream

Posted 17-Nov-2014
Pros: Smart, clean, well equipped, comfortable. Modern feel with appealing and individual period charm.
Cons: Restaurant's closed on Saturday, but then again, I'm sure you'll be out on the town anyway.
Maybe not the obvious choice for a London weekend getaway as the City is pretty much closed, but then transport is so easy - if you are willing to trade a few minutes more on the tube for more style and comfort, this is for you.
