ロンドンの主要な観光スボットに朝の散歩で行けるホテル

Posted 26-May-2015
Pros:

Lage ist Perfekt! Direkt neben Covent Garden.

Posted 25-May-2015
Pros: Die Lage ist einfach Perfekt.
Cons: Alles bestens!
Location: Direkt neben Covent Garden.
Alles ohne Panik. Sehr freundliches Personal!

Model big-city hotel

Posted 25-May-2015
Pros: The convenience and the atmosphere
Cons: Vary the breakfast menu a bit and see hot foods stay hot. Also, watery scrambled eggs do NOT appeal to Americans!!!
Location: Convenient to theaters, shopping, transportation network.
Service was comprehensive, courteous , prompt. Facilities were appropriate to the location--one does not come to London to spend the day in one's room. Ambience was engaging--a fun place to be

Very Pricey for What you get!!

Posted 24-May-2015
Pros: Lots of pillows on the bed.
Cons: New doors on the maintenance rooms that won't slam shut. Sound proofing in the walls.
Location: Walking distance to theater and shopping.
After staying at the Strand approximately 5 times previous, there was no doubt we wanted to stay there a 6th time. There won't be a 7th! My husband and I decided to upgrade our room as we were celebrating a special birthday. When we arrived, our room was clean and acceptable with exception of the broken window shutter. Little did we realize that we were located next door to a housekeeping maintenance room. We could here private conversations between the staff and every time someone opened or closed the door it would slam shut! This went on for hours. Even though we were gone from our room, it was never made up. No phone call or knock on the door to see if we required fresh towels. When asked if we could extend our check out for 1 hour, the hotel was very willing to charge us on a per hour basis. Significantly higher prices and less service means poor rating. Will not return.

First time in London.

Posted 24-May-2015
Pros: Staff is great.
Cons: My only real complaint would be about the poor lighting in the bathroom. 2 overhead lights in the ceiling cast shadows on your face.
Location: Great location! Theaters, shopping, restaurants...everything within walking distance.
The Strand Palace is a perfect location in the theater district in London. It was very easy to get around London by taxi, bus, tube and walking. I would definitely pick this location again. The hotel itself is very nice and the staff is great. Being from the US there are some noticeable differences in amenities, but nothing to bad. A clock in the room, a TV channel guide would have been nice. My only real complaint would be about the poor lighting in the bathroom. There were only 2 overhead lights in the ceiling and they cast a shadow on your face when looking in the mirror. Putting makeup on for a night out was a difficult.

While the location of the hotel is great, our room was old and tiny and did not deserve the four-star rating.

Contributed to a special two days

Posted 18-May-2015
Pros: a) Pleasant, efficient, effective staff. b) Things WORK. Reception got me a room on the top floor (My request) But elevators fast, so no hassle
Cons: No complaints.
Location: Very convenient for Trafalgar Square, Whitehall. Somerset House/ Courtauld. West End.
I was up in London for something very special I had been looking forward to for a long time. Decided the occasion warannted staying someplace nicer than the "economy" hotels I usually use. I'd stayed at the Strand Palace previously, and decided "this is the one"... and was not disappointed
