“superstrand”

I have stayed at Strand Palace on several occasions and always been very happy with all aspects of the hotel. The single rooms tend to be at the rear of the hotel with limited view but are spotlessly clean and well equipped. It is perfectly placed for West End, Covent Garden,River Thames, buses and mainline station.Staff are very attentive and polite.I would definitely recommend staying here.

“Perfect for a quick stopover”

Tiniest hotel room I've been in but perfectly sufficient and ideal for an overnight stay.

“A very good hotel for seeing around central London with an excellent carvery.”

The hotel is excellently situated for theatres, museums etc. Our room was somewhat small but adequate and very comfortable. The price was satisfactory - what would be expected in central London for this standard. The carvery service was excellent and the meal price very good - we did not need to look for restaurants. We would use the Strand Palace again.

“Location and Atmosphere with a Reasonable Price!”

The Strand Palace was full of charm and had the makings of a solid 3 star hotel. While some find the requirement to pay for television viewing, etc excessive, I didn't mind. It was little things like that that kept the price down for me to afford to stay in such a great place. I did splurge for the wifi. That's always a toss up at hotels, though. you do get a free 30 minute code. Nice for a quick check in with family, but if you want to upload photos for them, as I did, you need to go for the 24 hour wifi. The room is small, but it was more than sufficient for what I needed. The bed was a bit hard, though. :( The room and bathroom were very clean and very nice, however. The shower was amazing! I had a room looking over the Strand; I found it to be a very nice view. I stayed over the weekend and had no problems with street noise; however I am a heavier sleeper. the doorman was so helpful and really made it feel a bit more safe for a solo traveler. The Strand Carvery had a wonderful breakfast spread for their buffet. Lots of variety and they kept it hot and well-stocked all through out breakfast. I recommend paying a bit extra to get the breakfast included in your stay. Makes the morning go much easier and you're ready to hit the sight seeing as soon as you exit the hotel. Coffee shops are on your way down to Trafalgar Square and/or Charing Cross tube station, if you need a bit more coffee for the road. I would definitely stay at The Strand again!

“Excellent location.”

We had only 4 days in London,so didn't want to have to travel into the center each day. This hotel was therefore just the PERFECT location. We were just a couple of blocks from Covent Garden and from the closest tube station;we could walk to Westminster, the London Eye and many other central locations. We were on the Club floor but our room was v. small, bathroom was a good size though, room was v. clean and seemed to have been recently refurbished. My sis & hubby joined us for one night and had a room twice the size,so it may be luck of the draw!We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others.Just remember you are in London(btw,I'm English,so I knew what to expect),so rooms tend to be smaller.Besides, you're not in this great city to spend all your time in the hotel room, right?!

“Non-Smoking Hotel”

This is a non-smoking Hotel which means you have to go outside to smoke. The Location is great. The rooms are small but clean. Bathrooms appeared new. Had an inside room so it was quiet even tho Hotel is on a busy street. Would recomend to stay here.

“Handy for theatres.”

The hotel was ideally located for our trip to the Adelphi theatre and for walking to other main tourist attractions. We were able to check in earlier than we thought and the rooms were clean and the staff were all very friendly. The buffet breakfast included in our price was good value for money. We'd definitely recommend this hotel.

“Theater and shopper's dream location!”

This hotel is in a great location with 2 Tube stops (Charing Cross & Covent Garden) close by. The Covent Garden market is just behind the hotel and many West End theaters are within a short walking distance. The room was a single and therefore small, but fine for 1 person. It was very clean comfortable.
