Pros: Location. Great staff. Room cleanliness.
Location was a big plus. Walking distance to Buckingham Palace and to many restaurants, shopping stores and tourist spots. Great staff, by the way.

Excellent concierge service. All very helpful and polite staff. Centrally located but in a quite cul de sac.

Good location....but

Posted 23-Apr-2014
Pros: Excellent location, very good hotel stuff, very good room service and cleaniness.
Cons: Do not ask ...to stay at old building. (But ...certainly I have not seen ....the new one).
Rooms in the old building very small. Only ....one way traffic. We were told that there is a new building but only the day of our departure. I doubt that the bed was queen size. But most important we had no .....hot water several times due to pump failure! Each time we had to call the desk, so it can be restored.

Amazing hotel.

Posted 22-Apr-2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: Was extremely close to London's west end and convenient for all of central London
Friendly staff, good clean facilities. Extremely helpful and made us feel like royalty. Helped us check in a little early to enable us to make a prearranged meeting and couldn't be more helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great boutique hotel in convenient position

Posted 21-Apr-2014
Pros: Cleanliness is impressive. Personalised service. Great breakfast. Best position geographically right next to. green Park tube station.
Cons: Plumbing is terrible and breaks down all the time. Snooty concierge.
Location: Next to Green Park and the tube station. Close to Buckingham Palace and Picccadily circus in fact close to a lot of attractions
This is a very good hotel and should be at the price. Very old style English hotel which has been well maintained. Very clean with great room service and good concierge services. Breakfast and bar great in an old English style.

A quiet retreat in the heart of London

Posted 16-Apr-2014 on Hotels.com
We have stayed in 4 other hotels in the St James area and this is by far our favourite! The room was large by European standards, the bed superly comfortable (with countless choices of pillow types), the American Bar expensive but with excellent service, and the staff was exceptional. We love the area as you can easily walk to the Theatre district and shopping on Old Bond Street. The other plus is that you can take the tube from Heathrow and go directly to Green Park station, where there is a lift so you can easily move luggage. Then, walk down the pathway on the side of the park and you will see a pathway on your left that takes you through to St. James Place and the hotel....about a 4 minute walk from the tube. Perfect!!
