“Ideal for access to Bart's Hospital”

This is the second time we used the hotel for my wife's early attendance at Bart's Hospital the following day. It was especially convenient to have the in-house restaurant both for an evening meal and for early breakfast the next day as my wife could not eat or drink after 7.30am to the time of her afternoon operation. The whole set-up enabled her to be quite relaxed before arrival at hospital. We have told Bart's people how satisfied we are with this hotel so that other patients can be given the details.

“Great place for a short stay”

Found the hotel really clean, comfortable and the staff friendly. The local area is fine and buses seemed to be the best way to get around as they all seem to go to the centre of London. A great Brazilian restaurant is just across the road and a great cafe, Hurwundeki's, is just round the corner at Cambridge Heath. The local area is steeped in history and well worth exploring especially the Museum of Childhood at Bethnal Green. Will be back again.

Although it was about 10 minutes walk from the nearest tube station, the hotel was great - very clean, the staff were lovely and I felt very comfortable. Very good for the price.

* Good friendly staff. * Nice specious rooms and very well maintained and cleaned every day in a professional manner. * Only drawback was that there was no microwaves not even common one for guests. They must think over it. * Good connectivity from central London by bus. Tube station a bit far.

Outstandingly good value for money in London and close to some of the up and coming hotspots It will appeal to more adventurous travellers rather than the lazy.Haggerston overground and Bethnal Green tube are both a ten minute walk. Within walking distance is the Regents canal, which takes you west to Islington or east to Canary Wharf. Broadway and Columbia markets with their eclectic bars,pubs and restaurants are a ten minute walk away. Brick Lane , Shoreditch and the city a 20 minute walk. Very effiicient and friendly staff in a modern building withh food and drink that are reasonably priced.

“excellent value for money”

This hotel is NOT in Shoreditch, it's further out than that in Hackney proper, but if you want to go off the beaten track in London then this is recommended. Rooms were clean and comfortable, although the bath is too small to actually have a bath in if you're over 5ft tall, but the shower is nice and powerful. We ate breakfast and our meals out - no point in paying hotel prices when there are cafes in walking distance that offer freshly cooked breakfast at half the price and Brick Lane is a short distance away to eat. The heating in the room took a while to kick in and a bit of playing around with but i suppose that was because the room hadn't been used in a while. There appeared to be a bit of work still ongoing whilst we were there - mirrors being fitted and electrics in the lobby, but we didn't hear any noise or experience disturbance from this. Would definitely stay again.

“Nice hotel in one of the tougher neighbourhoods”

This is a nice hotel - worth it for the money. Location is one of the tougher neighbourhoods in London and its a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest tube. Overall, if you re a tourist and can share a private taxi then its worth choosing this. I would consider going back there when choosing a hotel in London.

Managed to book this hotel a few hours before travelling down to London; and was surprised to find it costing the same as some 2* B&B's. A slight walk to get there (as the nearest tube is Bethnal Green due to works), but the hotel is clearly new; has a nice, welcoming lobby, and excellent, clean rooms. Staff were professional enough during check-in/out, and I had no other reason to speak to anyone as there was absolutely nothing wrong with the hotel or room in general. I would definately stay here again.

This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel. Location is maybe a bit too far east for some.
