“Great hotel for anyone”

The hotel was perfect for my brief holiday in London. Keep in mind that for American standards, the room was small, although I had a doublebed and it was very comfortable. There wasn't a closet and the "wardrobe" had enough space to store a blowdryer and two jackets..my short winter coat didn't allow for the door to close..so, for someone travelling with lots of clothes, the space might be tight. The cleanliness and other features in the room, small but efficient and clean bathroom and TV/ music option was perfect to relax after a hectic day. The staff was friendly and helpful. I didn't have any meals in the hotel due to personal plans elsewhere. The location is very good...close to the Lancaster Gate underground station (not far from Paddington and on the opposite side Queensway)

“Excellent Experience”

The breakfast is FANTASTIC!!! The room is so charming and the view was so special. I felt like a princess. The rooms are very small, but extremely efficient.

“Would use again”

The hotel has an impressive facade and does not disappoint inside. For a London hotel this offers good value for money - a classy, modern hotel with friendly and efficient staff.

“queen, quiet, dark”

even in a street level room, the space was quiet, darkened with a floor-to-ceiling black-out curtain, and nicely designed to capture the most space in a small hotel room. Clean and relatively spacious bathroom. In the Paddington area, only the Hilton has better rooms (American style), but they are 3x as expensive. Free wireless and attentive staff. Just about a quarter mile from Paddington--very convenient to the Heathrow Express.

“Will go back”

It is very close and handy to Paddington station which is where the Heathrow express train comes into. A 5 minute walk and also Paddington is a great station for several underground lines so easy to get around London. Staff was nice and no problem with check in. Good sized room, lots of different cubby holes and cupboards for wardrobes. Nice new bathroom and clean. Only problem is to get wireless internet access in the room, I had to sit in the entrance way of the room for signal.. but that is minor.

“Efficient hotel near train station.”

Rooms are small but all rooms in Europe are small. The hotel was fine. We stayed the week before the Olympics and it was not busy. 10 min walk from paddington station made it easy to get around. Air conditioner in room broke and they immediately moved us to another room. Advertised a concierge on duty to help book tours, did not have one at all. Did not even have a tour desk just a table with brochures.

“Clean, comfortable but very small”

Small room, but clean. The bathroom was tiny, and the shower area wasn't separate from the remainder of the bathroom which was frustrating as the whole bathroom gets flooded and floods into the bedroom!

“simple, understated”

The hotel was a few blocks away from the train station, if walking with luggage, keep that in mind. It was pretty clean, and recently updated. Lots of wood panelling in the room, tiny storage area, like 6 inches deep to hang your clothes. Small room. The internet wi-fi worked, but very slow! There was an awful sewage smell coming from the drains in the bathroom, perhaps why the drain was closed when we first got there- keep it closed when not using! the woodwork needed to be wiped-down, that type of detail was overlooked, but the main things were pretty well kept. I liked that the design was simple, dark wood minimalist, not flowery. The bed was small for a couple, by American standards, it looked like a single room. I should mention the room had high ceilings, that made it seem more spacious. The location is good, in the sense that it's a few blocks away from Paddington train station, and that's where you get the train to Heathrow airport, but it's a mostly residential neighborhood. Enough restaurants nearby, and you can really walk around. If you are not from London, you should be aware that public transportation is really expensive! at least to a New Yorker. We just walked a lot.

“Nice hotel overall”

Hotel is in a good location, about a 5 min walk from Paddington Station. Staff were friendly and rooms were well kept and clean. Nice powerful shower, however not much room to put your toiletries in the bathroom (just a minor thing though!) Overall was a nice hotel, our room was perhaps a little on the small side and at times a little too warm even when turning down the air con but i think most rooms in London hotels are smallish from experience so not too much of a problem.
