The service at the Milestone Hotel is excellent, many hotels claim to give good service but the Milestone is one of the best. Lovely hotel, great location, fabulous bar, a great welcome, lovely room and as stated already, Excellent service. Staff are motivared, well informed, well trained and sincere in their desire to ensure you have a great stay. We will be back & highly recommend. What more needs to said!

The staff here are experts in hospitality, the best of the best. We enjoyed our stay here very much. From walking into the hotel, we felt welcomed and taken care of. After checking in, we were given a tour of the hotel, and were offered welcome drinks. The entire team was very professional and knowledgeable. They were always just a phone call away and would get your requests sorted. The amount of attention they put into the little details really made this place stand out. If you are looking for a home away from home, this is it!

The staff are warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Everything was spotless clean. Our room was fantastic ... it was what I bpoked, but much better than advertised. Huge bathroom by London standards and an enormous surprise terrace. The pool was great and private. Linens were top notch. Bed was comfortable. Afternoon tea was a delight and the bar was fun. I am only upset I couldn't stay longer. Will both me back AND will be telling all of my friends.

This is what hotels used to be like 100 years ago. The staff are remarkable, they remember, they care, they inquire. These are pros, people who are professionals, and what they do. Housekeeping staff are out of this world, I've never seen a room that clean. The gentleman with the top hat, who welcomes you every day, makes you feel like you're coming home. The cuisine in the bar or just fantastic. Save up your money and stay there instead of some other place. This is the only the hotel in London. I'll ever use again.

Marvellous - but don't tell anyone!
Love the hotel. Location is not an issue as transport links in London are good on non strike days. Its a 10 min walk from the nearest tube and a change is needed to get to any shopping area. Great staff and service, lovely little bar and the glass of champagne brought to our room whilst we unpacked was lovely! The restaurant is really lovely too with generous sized breakfast portions. Regrettably one main course at dinner was served luke warm at best which is a shame in an otherwise pretty perfect hotel

This was our third stay at the Milestone. It is the hotel against which we compare all others. But, these days, we don't bother to compare. We just book the Milestone.

Best Hotel in London
The Milestone is wonderful! No other word to describe it. The staff are so attentive and friendly, they really do make you feel right at home. The room was incredibly comfortable and quiet. And we loved the spa facilities - you have to book your 1 hour slot but then you get the whole place to yourself - we did the sauna and the pool on each morning after breakfast for an hour and it felt like a private retreat just for us. The breakfast is also brilliant, with plenty to choose from, including cooked breakfast and continental options. But the real star of the show is the design and decoration, from the speakeasy style of the back bar, to the elegant restaurant, and wood panelled antique feeling lobby. The hotel just oozes style and comfort. And the staff top it all off. We will only ever stay at the Milestone from now on, whenever we are in London.

The reputation for amazing customer service is justified, the entire staff team were wonderful and made us feel like they'd do anything to make our stay better. It definitely felt like a luxury experience. What I wasn't expecting was how small the bar area was, and how not very comfortable it was. We struggled to find somewhere in the hotel to just sit and relax, the rooms and spaces aren't big. We ended up going outside the hotel to eat and relax, which we didn't expect, but there are plenty of good bars and restaurants nearby.

This small, boutique hotel is quintessential London! It has a Victorian vibe and the waitstaff treat their guests like royalty. It’s a stone’s throw away from Kensington Palace and Sir Albert’s Hall! I highly recommend the Milestone Hotel!

We stayed at the Milestone for 5 nights based primarily on reviews. From the moment you arrive you feel welcomed by the doorman, the front desk staff to the concierge. It was a pleasure to be greeted by name when returning or coming down in the morning. The room was impeccable, clean and inviting. Turndown service each night was a welcome treat. The bathroom was clean with a powerful shower with abundant hot water. 2 different robes - 1 waffle/1 plush are available for your relaxation. There were 2 bath towels and 2 bath sheets iin addition to the usual face and wash cloths. There were two hiccups - our remote was not working for the TV and the engineer quickly came and reset the box. The second time the bathroom door got stuck and the same engineer returned within minutes. Finally my mother fell on our way back to the hotel. The staff helped with her evaluation and called their own emergency line to help give guidance on whether or not we should go to the emergency room. The food in the restaurant is excellent! If you are there on the fourth Sunday of the month -the Sunday Roast is phenomenal!! The service by the restaurant manager again excellent. The hotel is located across from Kensington Gardens thus an nice pleasant park for walking. It is near Kensington High Street with several restaurants, coffee shops and stores in walking distance. The perfect small hotel with personalized 5 start treatment and accomodations. I would definitely return!!

Dead red roses - a sorry sight and tale!
Having previously stayed at The Milestone, I was expecting the same level as previous experiences. Sadly, this was not the case. Walking into reception to see two huge displays of dead red roses, summed up our experiences really. The staff were all helpful and polite but over all, a very poor experience. We asked for a twin room, it was not twin but a zip link bed unzipped, so may as well not have bothered? The first night/next morning we had no cold water, the hot water was at thermo nuclear level hot, so we were unable to take a shower/bath. This however was quite quickly sorted, but begs the question, why wasn’t it checked beforehand, as they obviously knew there was an issue to sort it so quickly? The second morning, our friends were woken twice, at 6:00am and 6:30am, by early morning calls from reception. Again, this was dealt with, but shouldn’t have happened. On our last morning, breakfast was a disaster. We ordered, waiting 20 minutes, then everything arrived together - fruit; toast;porridge and full English breakfast! Obviously we sent back the hot items, which were then returned to us later. When I say returned, exactly the same breakfasts were brought out, cold and solid, so we sent them back again. Once again dealt with but all in all, not the kind of things you would expect from a 5* hotel? Our bills were also incorrect at check out, and three tries later, we’re corrected. The hotel, like the dead roses in reception, has seen better days!

London weekend away
Lovely weekend in London - The Hotel is lovely not too big, which means they can really personalise the service , their pre check in form was great and meant they pre prepared our requests. All the staff were friendly and very helpful and there was always plenty of staff on hand to help you with anything you needed . We prepaid for breakfast and the choices were varied and food quality really good . We would definitely return .
