Excellently placed for my requirements

Posted 20-Dec-2014
Pros: I like it's location. I think that all the staff that I encountered were very professional & polite.
Cons: Bathroom size. Internet charge
Location: Location brilliant for me. Too many things nearby for me to list here
I have stayed at this hotel several times over the last 4 or so years. I have seen all the exterior & interior improvements. However the rooms are a disapointment. The bathrooms are ridiculous as far as the handbasin is concerned. Itis very nearly impossible to use without cracking one's head on the bathroom cabinet or the central tap, which makes everything difficult to use. The hot water from the shower was not hot enough. The area by the toilet was claustrophobic, and I am speaking as someoneone who does not suffer from obesity. I have had more room in a Travelodge or similar. I was disappointed to be charged £9.95 for internet connection for a 24 hour period! In this day & age that is ridiculous - especially as I had paid for this room months in advance. I don,t think that you were doing me any favours at all.

Almost an Excellent Hotel

Posted 16-Dec-2014
Pros: Location. Modern. Clean. Quiet rooms.
Cons: Don't forget wake up calls! Get an electronic system that is more failsafe. New pillows. Put a toilet bowl brush in each room.
Location: Kensington High Street is steps away - you will find shops, restaurants, and lots of local neighbourhood character + parks and palace 5 mins walk.
I have stayed here many times, mostly before the renovation. You cannot beat the location, or the fact that you get a quiet night's sleep right in central London. Staff were clearly trying hard to please, though I did have one or two disappointments - my wake up call was forgotten, which I find pretty inexcusable, and there was very little apology for it. My room was very cold and I ended up having to move, and the heating system was a little noisy in both the first and second room - odd considering the place has been renovated. For a reno, too, they could have provided new pillows. But other than a hand basin that is way too small - I couldn't even splash my face without throwing water all over the floor - the room is decently comfortable and spacious enough. I will stay here again, but only for the rather decent price I paid. If prices increase, I will look elsewhere.

a good sized single room

Posted 14-Dec-2014
Pros: clean, modern, convenient location
Cons: it would have been nice to have an ironing board in the room but there was a trouser press.
Location: Good location; just a short walk from Highstreet Kensington tube and shops if you are so inclinded. Also bus stop opposite the tube station.
A good sized single room - recently totally updated I suspect - very comfortable. Stayed a couple of nights on business

Flot hotel, men ringe værelse

Posted 13-Dec-2014

Perfect location

Posted 02-Dec-2014
Stayed here for two nights with my boyfriend, on arrival we were greeted by a helpful doorman that helped us with our luggage, then when checking in got a free upgrade to a double executive room!! Very very central as the tube station is literally a 3 minute walk from the front door, the high street is also around the same distance walk! The room was fab, perfect location and a very luxurious hotel all round, if I was going back to London I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Zentral gelegenes Hotel

Posted 01-Dec-2014
Pros: Zimmer renoviert und sehr geräumig, Bad/WC neu.
Location: High Street Kensington, in der Nähe Kensington Garden+Palace, Hyde Park, Holland Park, Notting Hill, Portobello Road, Royal Albert Hall.
