Nice hotel in a super location

Posted 29-Sep-2014
Location: The location is great, just around the corner of High Street Kensington tube station. All my favourite shops are there like boots, M & S etc.
The bathroom is really tiny and no space to put your toiletteries.

Over-priced. Convenient but not much more.

Posted 26-Sep-2014
Pros: Not much
Cons: A further review by senior management, with a view to spending money on rooms, in order to bring the hotel up to the expected standard.
Location: Location good. Easy access and transport links to central London
I write as an experienced international traveller. The first impression was good. The entrance and immediate surrounds promised much. However the rooms were disappointing, in that the amount of interior space was excessively limited. Though unaccompanied I was allocated a double room. With company the room and bathroom space would have been quite inadequate. Fellow guests were scathing in their comments. Fortunately I was required to stay only one night. I moved the next day to an alternative hotel, with a similar rating, which was far superior in almost every aspect..

Hotel v. central, easy walkto underground

Posted 22-Sep-2014
Pros: Central location, professional staff
Cons: Nice toiletries for gym/pool. Dinner menu is not great.
Location: Brilliant location, close to underground, restaurants and minutes from High St Ken.
The rooms have been refurbished and are much better than previously. The pool and gym have reopened and are nice. The executive rooms are more spacious and have good bathrooms and Molton Brown toiletries. Staff super helpful. Would def recommend.

Second stay

Posted 20-Sep-2014
Not very happy that I was woken early hours in the morning by other inconsiderate guests. Doors close VERY loudly Didn't appreciate the pool being cleaned whilst I was swimming, fumes from the spray weren't very nice!! Could have waited until pool closed

Cons: You could improve the view from our room by putting some trees on the rooftop outside our room. It was a dreary view.
Good points: the room was clean and the staff was nice. Bad point: the room was so small we had no space to to open a suitcase except on the bed. The closet was too shallow and there wasn't enough floor space anywhere.

Good location, poor room size

Posted 08-Sep-2014
About the best you can say about this hotel is that the rooms have comfy beds. Because there's not a lot in the rooms but beds. Our bed occupied so much of the room that we had to climb over one another to get into it, walking around not being an option. I suspect that at some point it was decided to split decent-sized rooms into two tiny cramped rooms.

The Hotyel is very well situated

Posted 31-Aug-2014
I have been in this hotel 10 years ago the rooms have been upgraded but our room was very small, the bathroom in particular was extremely small, the bed was comfortable, for one night is fine, the hotel is much better now and the breakfast was very good, all staff was very friendly and I will return in the future.

Not with the upgrade

Posted 25-Aug-2014
No real complaints except I paid extra to upgrade to a superior room.. I don't know what I paid for as it seemed like a very standard room so a bit disappointed. Also maintenance man working on room next door very early in morning meaning the nice relaxing stay was cut short :( plus the fire alarm sounded a couple of times at about midnight - no clue as to whether is was for real - turned out to be an unnecessary very loud scare but not a drill and no communication from staff - as the stay was a treat for my 12 year old daughter I was a little disappointed if I'm honest.

Location is great

Posted 30-Jul-2014
Pros: Location
Location: Only a few minutes to Kensington high st tube
