“Trendiest hotel in London”
I have been staying at St Martins Lane for many years now. The Asia de Cuba salad from the restaurant is worth the visit alone. It's definately the place to be seen!!!
“Excellent location and service”
This was an excellent hotel, the location is so amazing we did not have to use the tube all weekend. They also let us have a late checkout for free and then held the bags till we were ready to get our train. The staff were really helpfull and friendly.
“Horrific staff mars an otherwise above-average hotel”
The staff acts as though it's a privilege for you to be a guest, when in fact, it's really the other way around in a competitive market such as hotels. I can honestly say that I've never dealt with less professional, brazenly rude hotel staff in all my experience traveling. Never again. Which is a shame because I've very much enjoyed my stays at their other properties and never once had even the slightest of complaints.
“Does Not Get Much Better Than This”
Ever wonder what it would be like to experience what excellent customer service was meant to be from top to bottom.....stay here. Want to be in the heart of London where you can walk to almost anything...stay here. Looking for a unique boutique hotel that is different from the traditional floral walls and grey paint...stay here. Are you interested in knowing what a traveler should experience in all facets of hotel stay....this is the place. I would suggest who you should speak to at the hotel to insure you have a great time, lots of fun, and get fantastic local suggestions on food, entertainment, and night life........but it really does not matter who you talk to. They are all knowledgeable and fantastic. Well done St. Martins. "I'll be back".
“Nice hotel - GREAT LOCATION!”
My wife and I are in our early 40's and we just came back from an extended weekend without the kids in London. We loved the location of this hotel because of it's close proximity (walking distance) to many of the top "things-to-do" sites that the guide books suggest a tourist would want to visit. Also very close to many pubs & restaurants of virtually every cuisine and great shopping nearby too in Covent Garden vicinity. The hotel itself is very modern/contempoarary in it's style. The rooms are on the small side but still comfortable. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. There is a world class restaurant (Asia de Cuba), a nice bar, and a full-on gym (no extra charge) located right in the hotel. I would stop short of rating this a 5 star hotel - it's not the Four Seasons but definitely would give it a 4+ star rating. Would definitely go back!
“Wonderful Stylish Property”
This is one of the best hotels I have stayed so far, and I usually stay at about 20 five-star hotels annually. The cleanness, the service, the concierge are top at this hotel. As to the location, you cannot wish for a better one... I love to explore new hotel with each trip, but will definitely stay here again if the price will be right and my travel destination will be nearby.
“Great location”
Loved the location. Very convenient. Great bathroom. Small room but comfortable bed. Would highly recommend.
“Perfect location, clean, friendly staff”
You can't ask for a better location than St. Martin's Lane (perfectly situated in Covent Garden, near Trafalgar Sq/National Gallery and Picadilly Circus, and just 2 minutes from the Leiscester Sq and Charing Cross tube stops). Everything is closer than it appears on maps (all theatres, great restaurants, etc). There's no name on the outside of the building so it's difficult to find, just look for the yellow glass front building across the street from Starbucks (another plus to help beat the jet lag). The staff is very nice. Lobby is very chic almost to the point of being overdone. The hallways on non-lobby floors are dark and look dingy due to the low-level "mood" lighting. Rooms are very clean, accurately described in size and overall nice. Bed is comfortable. Stylish modern bathrooms. Don't expect a view as our room had non-adjustable blinds between the window panes. The weather while we were there (March) was comfortably in the upper 50s/low 60s but the hallways in the hotel were like a sauna. Our room was just slightly less warm so we kept the heat down as low as possible and opened a window. Definitely worth the money for the comfortable room and amazing location, I can't rave enough about how close everything was.
“Nice hotel, great location”
Not your typical stuffy British hotel.
“Great Hotel”
