Pros: Decoration and breakfast menu
The hotel looks lovely, however the service was poor. We had to wait 15 minutes to be served three drinks in the bar which was not busy and when we ordered further drinks later in the evening we were not served what we asked for. There was confusion over the deposit taken from our debit card which did not cover our drinks bill so we received a written request to speak to reception about this, even though they had our card details and we were staying that night. When we went to breakfast and requested a table for 4 as we were meeting our friends, also guests at the hotel, we were told one wasn't available and we would have to sit on two tables near each other. This was resolved when we raised objections to this. I pointed these issues out on check-out when I asked for the bar service charge to be removed. Receptionist was helpful and duty manager gave a small discount, but this process also took a very long time. We were not impressed bearing how much we paid!

a find in central London

Posted 06-Jul-2015
Pros: Locat5ion and comfortable beds and room
Wonderful location close to Buckingham Palace and Westminster as well. The staff could not have been more accommodating --they even allowed us to store luggage there for 1 1/2 days before our check in. We were met with smiles and can I help you attitude by one all. Spacious room by London standards and the shower hot and plentiful. Lovely courtyard bar and lounge area.

Great Location

Posted 05-Jul-2015
Pros: Hotel staff was very courteous, helpful, and friendly.
Cons: We were disappointed in the condition of some room elements: leaky toilet and bathroom door had a broken lock.
A great place to stay if you are interested in being near Westminster's attractions: the London Eye, Parliament, Westminster Abbey, and more! There is variety of shopping nearby with several choices for eateries for any budget. Victoria Station is conveniently located within a short walk. A posh and stylish place, but look for bargain rates; we would not pay regular full price if we stayed here again.

Double charged

Posted 02-Jul-2015
Pros: looked 4 star staff very friendly
Cons: not sure everything went well
Location: London sights very close.
I paid for this trip itinerary # 199419193617 in March. Arriving home and checking credit card, I was charged again for three days. Problem could be we arrived on June 24 instead of June 20 due to a problem with passport. I would appreciate it if you corrected this matter.

Good location

Well, average experience - staff nice, room is average - bathroom is very small - you can sit on the toilet and brush your teeth at the same time - yes, that's small.

Brilliant Location!

Posted 30-Jun-2015
Pros: The outside area and the well trained staff.
We found the room and bathroom a little small but we were only there for one night so it was fine. The accomodation was very reasonably priced. I am sure if we had paid more our room would have reflected this. We had a very good nights sleep. There was a large choice of places to eat at all prices in the hotel and also in the surrounding area. The outside dining and relaxing area was lovely. All the staff were charming and helpful. The location for us was brilliant as we were near to 2 tube stations and all the sites of Westminster. We would definately stay there again.

The St. James' Court continues to improve

Posted 27-Jun-2015
This hotel has upped its performance significantly over the past six months. The service is now exceptionally good. The range of restaurants and bars is unmatched by any other hotel of its size. I like especially Quilon, the high end Indian restaurant, and Kona, the newish spot that is embedded in the suite section of the facility. I now regularly recommend to friends that they stay at this well-located and affordable hotel.

Not worth the money

Posted 21-Jun-2015
Pros: Staff
Cons: Rooms, cleanliness
Whilst the staff were very pleasant, the room itself was very poor considering it was over $A800 for 2 nights. The foyer of the level we were in was dirty and the carpet in poor condition as was the wallpaper. There were small cockroaches on the floor as well. The wallpaper in the room had been repaired with paint that didn't even match, the phone didn't work and the toilet required a minimum of 10 flushes to clear. I have stayed in places in the heart of London for less money that were far better in condition than this.
