“BEST HOTEL STAY OF MY (LONG) LIFE!”
I had frequently stayed at the Sofitel London Heathrow, and have often called it my favorite hotel. I suppose it still is, but after a recent 4 day stay at the Sofitel St. James, it's pretty much a tie. The service of every staff member was truly impeccable, particularly the concierge service, which helped me to resolve a number of issues. I honestly felt as if I were being treated like royalty (it's right in the royal neighborhood, after all!) I think the fact that, out of 1,067 hotels in London, this hotel is rated #5 (on Trip Advisor) says it all. If you can afford it, don't hesitate for a second!
“A great hotel”
Great location, wonderful staff and a fantastic hotel. Highly recommended.
“Terrific, lovely hotel.”
I really enjoyed my stay at the Sofitel. The room was very comfortable, and the hotel was close to tube stations and Picadilly Circus. I would gladly stay there againg, the next time I'm in London.
“Thank you to the staff of Sofitel St. James”
We loved every day of our stay at this wonderful hotel primarily for two reasons. Number one, the staff was fantastic! Whatever we asked for, they immediately accomodated us and when travelling with a 3-year old that means the world to us. Our daughter, Sasha, was very aware of the apples on the lobby in the morning and the madeleines and torrone in the afternoon. Everytime she went dashing to the get one, a member of the staff would bring the whole container down for her to choose and then he/she would peel the apple and bring it back in a plate (at her request). I know this she will not forget. Thank you so much! The location (number 2) cannot be beat. We walked everywhere and when our daughter was pooped, we would carry her back in 5-10 minutes and put her to bed. Overall a 5 for Sofitel and the staff!
“Great Hotel!”
The hotel has a wonderful location. Trafalgar square, Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey all within walking distance. The staff are outstanding, very friendly and helpful. Rooms are beautiful.
“Will always look for Sofitel hotel”
Excellent staff, very nice room, fabulous location
“Sofitel St. James is Wonderful!”
The Sofitel St. James is centrally located around all the major tourist attractions and provides a great base of operations to do all of your exploring. It's right in Picadilly Circus area and a 5 minute walk to Trafalgar Square. The hotel itself is gorgeous and as you walk in, you hear someone playing the harp live and an army of hotel workers ready to give the best service. We stayed in a luxury room which was perfectly described with the softest linens and wonderfully comfortable bed and amenities. The bar downstairs provides a great venue to get a drink and relax in a luxurious environment. The service is impeccable and the Concierge will do everything to help you reach your goals of dining and exploration. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and would love to return one day.
“Near perfect”
Sofitel offers some of the finest amenities in its guest room. The only discomfort was the narrow shower stall which is really too tiny for the average person. The other disappointment was the main dining room closed for refurbished during our stay which the website did not mention. These points did not mar our experience overall, however, and we can recommend this property without hesitation.
“St James Sofitel desreves your attention!”
This hotel is ideally located; is a French run company; has amazing staff. The rooms are quite comfortable, beds were great, food fantastic. I cannot say enough about the quality of the staff - so caring and attentive! Loved my stay.
“Fantastic location in London”
We are so glad that we picked this hotel to stay in London. Every tourist spots are walking distance. There are many nice restaurants around there. When we got the hotel, they gave me a drink. My husband got a coffee and came with Macaron. Macaron was very tasty. We wanted to get it. So when we asked the hotel guy, he said that their chef makes those. But it is not for sale. That is too bad. All the hotel staffs are so friendly and kind. Staying this hotel made us our stay in London so special. Love it.
