“Great Gatwick Hotel”

Really convenient when you are landing late at Gatwick and need to stay over to go to Heathrow in the morning. Very comfortable beds!

“Excellent Gatwick Hotel”

If travelling through Gatwick with either a late arrival or early departure the Sofitel is the hotel you want. It is a little pricey but well worth the added convienance regardless of which terminal you are travelling through. Staff is excellent and the services were all what you would expect. As an expat working in the UK we travel often and have a 18 month old. Gatwick is a central hub for many flights and the convienance and service offered by a hotel at the terminal can't be over stated.

“A great place to relax before travelling onwards”

I have stayed in this hotel a few times now and just love it. I like the beds in Sofitel and so does my wife as they are so comfortable (bit of a problem if you have an early flight!) The food availability is just great with the different restaurants and bar menus available so it is really easy to find something to keep everyone happy. The staff are excellent and friendly and the service is just great. I always stay as I travel out to work in Africa the following morning and it is always a good place to relax and unwind before leaving for work.

“Very impressive!”

We knew from the minute we walked in that we were in a very nice place! The beds were exceptionally comfortable. My only complaint was that some of the restaurants are currently under renovation, and the only restaurant that was open had a long wait. Not a real big problem because it's a quick walk to the airport where we found something to eat there.

“Excellent airport hotel and restaurant”

I have stayed here twice. You cannot go wrong, it is perfectly situated, the staff are very friendly and the food in the main restaurant amazing. The produce is sourced locally and the chef works magic with beef. I highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding! Do reserve a table as it does get rather packed. The hotel has a couple of nice bars for a pre dinner drink. I think that this hotel is perfect not only for the location, but if you are on an early flight I highly recommend that you stay here the night before as a little treat and you will have more of a lie in! I found that Expedia had the best rates for this hotel too by the way.

“Convenient Airport Comfort”

I knew my return flight to the UK was scheduled to arrive at 11pm so needed somewhere convenient to stop over before onward connections. Difficult to find a more convenient hotel for Gatwick Airport as this is just walking distance down a ramp from the monorail service between North and South Terminal. Front desk staff are friendly and very efficient, I think I was greeted and checked in within about 60 seconds of stepping up to the front desk. My room was in perfect condition. Sound proofing must be seriously good. Bed is amazing - deep and soft. Have stayed here before and also at the newer T5 Sofitel at Heathrow which I hold in similar regard. Haven't tried room service or any of the hotel bars or restaurants so cannot comment.

“Gatwick Sofitel - an oasis”

The Gatwick Sofitel provides respite from airport craziness. Although only there for one night, I really enjoyed my stay. It was gloriously comfortable,clean and quiet - I didn't hear any airport hullabaloo. Service is fantastic. Staying there allowed me to relax and easily catch my early morning flight back to Canada. I did manage to get a special rate otherwise I could probably not afford to stay there. It is pricy but staying at the Sofitel is worth whatever the going rate is.
