“Good location and friendly staff”
While this hotel was well located the toenail clippings not cleaned up in the bathroom from a previous guest left me feeling sick! Perhaps check your room for cleanliness before settling in!
“good stay”
Sheraton Heathrow is under renovation so a bit of a mess but still a good stay.
“Under construction”
This hotel is under construction. it is difficult and awkward to find Reception. The corridors and rooms of the hotel are cold, and there is an impression that the whole place is waiting for upgrading. It is not really a four star hotel at present
“Do not stay here at the moment!”
There is CONSIDERABLE reconstruction work at this hotel. Consequently, taxi drivers cannot find the entrance, guests cannot find the entrance, the reception is a tiny desk in the corner that is impossible to locate. Having stayed at Sheratons worldwide I have to say I was firstly speechless, and then apologetic to my companion. The amount of work going on means the hotel should have been closed for a period rather than trying to operate during this massive upheaval. The hotel itself is very very dated and shabby and needs the work without a doubt, but it was almost hilarious watching guests leave the lift and wander aimlessly down corridors trying to find a reception or even an exit!
“Below standard”
I was utterly disappointed in this hotel and it was certainly not what I would have expected from a Sheraton brand name. The hotel was undergoing refurbishment in the foyer and restaurant but nevertheless it was a complete shambles. The restaurant did not offer the same wine as that in the room. The bathroom complementary accessories did not include bath gel, there was no face cloth. The corridors were dark and looked dingey. Poor lighting throughout.

“Not a great heathrow option”
I was expecting a lot better for this being a Sheraton. The room itself was generally fine, if a bit old/worn out looking. There seemed to be some works going on at the hotel as the entrance was a fire door at the rear of the hotel, and the whole thing felt a bit disorganised. There was a couple of big problems - the first being the queue to check-out in the morning, it took an absurdly long period of time to effectively hand over the key - if there was any form of "quick" checkout this certainly wasn't made clear at any point. The second being the transport to/from the hotel - you have to use the "Hotel Hoppa" bus, which is £4.50 each direction. The main problem with it being that it only comes once every half an hour, serves several hotels and is full to capacity at most times, so good luck getting on with a bag. On the way back from the hotel to the airport the bus didn't even turn up, leaving you at the mercy of high taxi charges if you want to get your plane. So what you end up with is a hotel that while in name is an "airport" hotel, is in fact very difficult to get to/from - I think you'd be better off looking down the tube map and choosing a hotel just off the tube line. The only saving grace is that the night in question was relatively cheap (being a Sunday), but had I paid "Sheraton" rates for what was a travellodge experience I'd be (more) annoyed.
“value for what I paid, but not to sheraton standard”
I got a last minute deal. If I had paid more I would have been upset! I had read the expedia reveiws and nothing came out good on any of the hotels near Heathrow, which helped set the bar to not expect much. I think the Brits try to keep the tourists confused so the hotel Hopper bus sysytem lived up to the expectation too. Be careful too if you have a flight as the hopper bus that does the hotel rounds is every 30 minutes and didn't show for the 8 am lot. The hotel is under deconstruction so the back door was the main entrance and the line ups long for check in. The door was left open so it was cold in the hallways. The room needs a make over, but the bed was comfy which was the priority. The staff were doing the best they could and were very polite.
“Convenient, comfortable but construction!”
Nice hotel, with VERY comfortable beds, and clean and quiet rooms. Unfortunately the hotel was under construction when we were there so the hotel bar/restaurant had only a buffet set up in a large empty room with no where to sit! All other aspects of the hotel were good. Location is close to the airport but not to many restaurants (if you want to walk). We did find a great Chinese restaurant close to the hotel though!
