The Sanderson is an amazing hotel in the perfect location. I have stayed at the Sanderson four times now and every time is outstanding, the staff at the front desk is so friendly and so accommodating. The rooms and stunning and very spacious for London. The hotel bar is very nice. Already have my fifth stay at the Sanderson booked and will continue to stay here for as long as I have business in London!

Comfortable bed is a positive as is the location. View from a 5th floor “deluxe” room (there are only 6 floors) was dismal even on a bright sunny day. Huge bath but virtually empty bottles of shampoo and conditioner were in bath tray and no bubble bath…weird. Only one lift working and no water stair access. No mention of Expedia VIP access at checkin and given room next to the lift shaft! Not ideal but thankfully I didn’t have a need for a good nights sleep or lie in but if I had wanted that, my rating would be much much lower and I’d have complained because it was noisy to say the least

Always a good stay
Always a great stay at the Sanderson hotel Lovely rooms always really clean , staff very helpful especially elena who helped with the room upgrade , Only thing that spoilt it was a light fitting fell into my hand when closing the blind and it bruised my hand , I did mention it but it went un noted !!

Great hotel, and location perfect for shopping around Oxford st, regent st area. Room was very spacious, clean & beautiful clean aesthetic. Our room on first floor was a little noisy at night from the music in the bar (which we didn’t realise until we came back that evening) but it did shut off after 11.30. Staff were a bit hit & miss. We came early to stir luggage & came back near check out time but still had to wait a bit, receptionist could have been more proactive to let us know as we were just sitting there. Bar/restaurant staff were lovely & warm service. The guy bringing room service waved the bill in my face asking me to sign as the first thing he did when I opened door, not a wonderful way to be greeted.

We booked a two nights stay at this hotel to celebrate a friend's birthday, however on arrival we were told that the hotel did not have a room for us. This was blamed on a power failure which had apparently taken out the entire 4th floor. However this cannot be true given our friends had checked in an hour before us and were allocated a room on the 4th floor with no issues with power. The next morning we returned to try and check-in again and we were asked to wait, we tried to find out why there was a delay given our room wasn't used the night prior but no explanation was given. I suspect the hotel had overbooked and rather than admit this they made up a lie instead.

Lovely property, cool rooms. Staff in restaurant so-so. More busy talking to each other rather than serving customers- not great. Rooms need milk/creamer for coffee and tea. Not a lot of drawer/storage space. Towels removed from room but not replenished. They paid attention to how it looks but not how it functions. So-so.

We had a wonderful stay at The Sanderson in June of 2023. My son had huge duffels as he was moving into Oxford for the summer and they accomodated us by giving us a room with a nook where his bags could sit. The bed was divine and so comfortable. The room was quiet, clean and plush. Breakfast was delicious as was afternoon tea! Great location, easy to walk/tube/uber everywhere. We can't wait to go back!

I booked this as a last minute booking. Overal the look and feel of the hotel was fine. The issues came however with the very loud airconditioning with the odd banging. This was turned off so were quite hot for the night. As no other rooms were available due to the hotel being at full capacity. Later in the day I also tried to order room service, I called three times with no answer and on the last time reception said they would get someone to call me back… I’m still waiting. Ordered Deliveroo in the end. Overall pretty disappointing stay given they are holding themselves out at a 5* hotel and charging for that too. Not somewhere I would go back too.

Had a fantastic stay here! Thank you. I wouldn't say it shouts London 5 star ⭐ however, it was some of the best service in the cities 5 star collection that we've been to. The staff are very helpful, thoughtful and delivered every aspect, including special occasion requests extremely well. The room was beautiful, very large and had everything required. The downfalls of the Sanderson are the amenities: as far as these go, it's limited to one bar (The Long Bar) as the other, rather lovely looking bar only opens on a Thursday?! Aside from that, you're greeted by a sparse lobby with cool, quirky furnishings but leaves much to be desired. I know that less is more quite often, however the design doesn't necessarily flow well, it's like an open office space with random furniture dotted around a pretty standard laminate floor. It doesn't give you quite the ode to luxury that others nearby do. Although, The Long Bar serves wonderful cocktails and the outdoor courtyard space lends it self to a lovely seating area around a small pond-style fountain which is a nice touch. We used this area with friends also staying at the hotel as we had the pleasure of trying the Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea and what a true delight it was! Decadent, and scrumptious - nothing to be added here other than the exemplary service provided by Sanyogita, she made the whole experience smooth from start to finish, very personable and I believe she is an asset to the tea party that's for sure. Hotel 8/10. Thanks!

Beautiful contemporary room, well designed
What a lovely hotel! In London can be hit & miss but The Sanderson is modern & contemporary, light, airy & arty. Amazing lobby, bar, breakfast zone & food lovely. Room upgraded but spacious, so well designed must have been by a woman as had dressing table for hair & make up, yay! Walk in shower, good a/c system. Light but cosy feel to the room colour scheme, just my style. Lifts fab also with space 3d imagery. Service & staff, Polite, prompt, professional. Location brill, 3 min walk from Oxford street & palladium theatre. Would definitely recommend & return.
