“Good, economy hotel”

This hotel is a short walk from the tube station. It was clean, comfortable and the kitchenette/ sitting room was an added bonus. I was able to go to sleep while my husband stayed up watching the Telly in the next room.

Area recommendations
I believe this was the Kensington neighborhood, which was quite nice and safe feeling as well as quiet.
When to go
We were there in mid to late November the weather was cold but comfortably so.
What to pack
Pack a good warm coat and excellent walking shoes. London is a walking city, in 2 days, I put over 46,000 steps on my pedometer. That equates to about 15 miles (give or take).
Shopping
Covent Garden is a great shopping area with lots of buskers doing everything from magic tricks to a limbo act.

“Royal with no glitter”

Staff are friendly and there is internet access in the downstairs lounge. The rooms are clean and the beds were made daily and towesl replaced if necessary. The beds are relatively comfortable and the area is a quite one. I did have a 5th floor small appartment. The roods are very dated and coudl do with painting and so coudl the stairs and corridors. It is no luxury but if you are looking for decently priced accomodation, close to Paddington this coudl be it.

for the money you can not fault it . and we find it in a good place for gettig round london, not first glass but very clean and freindly.

“Great location - get what you pay for”

Perfectly adequate hotel. Very clean, nice staff, good location. Basic accommodation but for the price in hyde park area excellent value for money. Would definitely stay again

“A GOOD HOTEL CONVENIENT TO EVERYTHING”

I enjoyed my 6 night stay at the Royal Court. The room furnishings were old but clean and comfortable and the room was enormous with a good kitchen and comfortable bed and great bathroom. Free wifi is available for use in the hotel lounge off the foyer. You are close to Lancaster Gate Tube station, there are 2 laundromats in the next street and a great pub (The Mitre) around the corner where they serve good value and excellent food. Paddington Station (with a supermarket) is only 5 minutes away, too. A good test of a hotel is how they deal with a problem. Returning late one evening, the lights fused in my room. Immediately, i was given another room for the night with the assurance i could move to that room if the problem could not be fixed next day (it was.) I was impressed with the way they handled this. I recommend this hotel.

“Good location”

Stayed for 2 nights, found staff very helpful and friendly. Location was central and convenient for sightseeing. We were given a newly refurbished room, which was spacious and clean. Having a lift was a big plus! Would come here again.

“Good location near Paddington”

We spent three nights in the Royal Court Apartments in an upgraded room. We were very pleased with the hotel considering the convenient location and price.

Area recommendations
We were able to walk to most of the main attractions in London from the hotel.

“Old but great location”

Needs a makeover as pretty old but friendly helpful staff and great location

Area recommendations
London is London as someone once said "If you are tired of London you are tired of Life"
Getting there
No easy way as its over 24 hours by air Cathay Pacific fine airline but still over 12 hours from HK to London
Getting around
public transport but get familiar with Octopus and other concession fares
Must see
As much as you can London is London

“Spacious Rooms”

Convenient location. Restaurants are within easy walking distance and several small stores if you choose to use the kitchen available. Rooms larger than most hotels I have stayed at in London.
