Amazing world class staff and amenities class in a gorgeous 5 star property that is centrally located in London. I've been to quite a few 5 star hotels and this one definitely tops the list for me.

Terrible experience
Paid a premium rate for a luxury hotel without any of the premium or luxury associated with a $1,000/night room. When we arrived there was no one to greet/welcome or help us. We had to unload all our luggage from our taxi without any help from anyone. I can get that kind of non service for $100/night. We were early to check in so they told us they would call when our room was ready. Around check in time I called them to get an update to our room, the operator could not get a hold of anyone from the front desk to get us an update on our room so she said they would call us back when someone was available (guess what we never got that call). So after a couple hours past check in we decided to just head back to the hotel anyways. When we finally got the key to our room we literally had to step through a soaking wet hallway. I wish I could load a video to show how disgusting it was to walk to and from our room on our stay. The smell was disgusting. Every time we walked out our door or from the elevator on to our floor we got hit with the smells of a locker room. We had to cover our noses and hold our breathe. Just absolutely gross. Anytime we needed a taxi we had to find one ourselves. The front door men just stood around, not acknowledging our existence or offering any kind of help. What a absolute waste of money. Stay somewhere else unless you’re into over paying for really bad customer service and smelly, wet carpet is your thing

During your departure, we had understood otherwise and I am truly sorry as we should have been more proactive in letting you know how sorry we were that your experience was far from what anybody would expect from us. Allow me to provide some insight to the situation that resulted in your inexcusable experience. At the time of your arrival, the hotel was in the midst of handling an emergency situation caused by the activation of our sprinkler system due to activity by another guest. I can assure you, that this experience was not reflective of the usual high service standard and experience that are provided from us at Rosewood London. First time staying with rosewood. Staffs are very kind and welcoming. Hotel is kinda old. Food is great. Saw a pillow from IKEA is a bit shocking. I thought rosewood is way better than this. And fire alarm went off on a cold Sunday morning is really disturbing.

My girlfriend and I live in New York and were familiar with another Rosewood Hotel, The Carlyle, which was what motivated us to book this hotel. It is located in a very central area only steps from the British Museum and within walking distance to other attractions/major neighbourhoods. The concierge and the rest of the hotel staff were friendly. There is a nice restaurant and an interesting jazz bar - The Scarfes.

Lovely property, nicely renovated from its origins. Large property with many rooms but service like a small boutique hotel. Nice touches added with personalized service in the rooms. Overly attentive staff, definitely put your DND on if you need some rest. The breakfast is very tasty with options for all types of eaters.

Toilette has no brush or water spray, they said ‘in London. 5* we do not put it’. So you have to clean by yourself if the flush is not strong enough. I paid a rocket fair to be like inna army barrack, and get a napkin to clean by myself to avoid my partner disgust. I was amazed and asked a taxi driver ‘do you have a toilette brush in your home bathroom ?’. He was amused and replied ‘yes’. I raised this point to Management upon departure for the sake of all other guests that must be holding it. Incredible. Is it true that London 5* do not provide anyway for you to clean your toilette if needed. ?

Beware if a service charge they add to the room price. First time I have ever experienced this. When I questioned the charge they said it was discretionary. They tried to add this on top of the regular room rate and taxes. This is on top of what Expedia said I will have to pay at the hotel including all taxes. The property is beautiful and the breakfast is excellent but some of their policies and staff are terrible while others were very accommodating and polite.

It did not provide value for the price paid. Problems with the room abounded daily and the staff overall was not friendly and helpful. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Check In was smooth, very helpful and courteous staff. We had a standard room, nice space, comfortable bed, decent bathroom. Easily accessible to tube and walkable to many nice spots nearby. Breakfast was delicious!
