“Nice hotel, convenient location”

I booked two Deluxe Double rooms, the rooms aren't huge but they're big enough and the beds are very comfortable. We also had a fridge for personal use which was great. Staff were very accommodating, we we're allowed to check in early and left our bags with the concierge all day after we checked out. The hotel is literally next to Warren Street tube station making it very easy to get to around London but if you fancy a walk, it's only 20 minutes from Oxford Circus. It's also only 5 minutes walk to Regents Park which is a lovely place to be on a sunny day. There's a Tesco and a Sainsburys within a minute of the hotel if you need supplies and there are numerous bars and restaurants within 10 minutes walk. Basically, everything my friends and I needed was within easy reach.

Area recommendations
If the weather's nice head down the river to Greenwich on one of the numerous City Cruises boats (they're painted red and white). They are cheap and frequent and you get an amusing commentary along the way. Greenwich is home to the National Maritime Museum as well as the Royal Observatory and there are a choice of pubs on the river for lunch. Alternatively head to Primrose Hill for a picnic with great views. If the weather's not so good there are innumerable museums and shopping opportunities in central London.
Events and shows
Go and see Wicked, it's awesome!!
Comment from the hotel's management
Thank you for your review, I am happy that you found the hotel to your liking. I do agree the hotel is primly situated with access to many amenities and a stones throw from the centre.

“Nice staying, extremely small room”

If you are looking for location, nice value and just a place to sleep, it will work for you. The room was extremely small. I had to keep my luggage close. The shower was a joke because of the size and the complimentary internet connection it does't get more than 512 kbps. I got a 14" conventional TV. On the ohter side, the location is really good... walking distance from Piccadilly, Oxford and Bond Streets, SOHO and all the excitement. Tube station is just steps away. Breakfast was very nice and the service was also good. So, if you are looking for an affordable clean room at a good price, this is the pleace for you. Just don't get surprise for the size of your room.

Area recommendations
Everything near Piccadilly Circus, China Town and SOHO for nice clubs, bars and restaurants. Bond an Oxford street for the best shopping. Notting Hill is a must during saturday evenings, it's extremely beautiful and full of nice places to see around Portobello street. And all the city attractions: Buckingham Palace, The Eye, The Parliament, the museums, etc. I love London. I feel it safe and exciting.
Comment from the hotel's management
I would tend to agree that our location is second to none whilst travelling into London. We are currently undergoing soft renovations of our bedrooms which include modern décor, furnishings and new widescreen flat televisions. We have currently completed 257 of our 330 rooms. Furthermore, we have just completed refurbishment in the lobby and restaurant areas. This will create a more open environment from the lobby into the restaurant which will change the look and feel of our public areas. Once again, thank you for your feedback and I do sincerely hope to see you in the very near future. Regards

“Not the worst - not the best”

Non descript hotel. Hotel staff really not on the ball - took 15 minutes to check into a prepaid room with no queue. Room smelt of gloss paint.

Comment from the hotel's management
I am sorry that you fealty that the check in process took too long, we have bee undergoing some changes in terms of our lobby and bed rooms. A total refurbishment of our public areas and soft refurbishment of our bedrooms which unfortunately has caused some disruption. I am happy to say though that it is finally completed and do hope to have you back to experience our product and services. Kind regards

“Convenient stopping place”

Functional hotel with good quality rooms. Not a place to stay for the shear experience of the hotel but a convenient base from which to operate when in London.

Comment from the hotel's management
The Grafton is functional in its rooms and location. Just a stones throw away from all the conveniences of London. Thank you

“Ok hotel”

Compared to others in the vicinity this hotel was ok given the price. Found bathroom too small and free room space was limited. Not many restaurants within a close radius. Relatively close to underground station.

Area recommendations
Probably would recommend Bloomsbury /Holborn area but hotel will be pricey yet more room space/comfort
Comment from the hotel's management
The hotels price against location and local area hotels is very competitive. Other then our own restaurant there are many others in the local area just a short walk from the hotel. I agree, having the underground station nest door is very convenient. Kind regards

“Comfortable City Hotel”

This is a comfortable, well managed hotel across the street from the Warren Street tube station, a few blocks from Regent's Park and within easy walking distance of Bloomsbury, the West End, Mayfair and Soho. It appears to have been recently renovated. The staff is friendly and efficient. While there isn't a huge staff, they were very responsive to us during our stay. The restaurant is welcoming and large but the expensive breakfast is only worthwhile if it's included in the room rate. Otherwise, there are many cafes, restaurants, pubs, take-out places within a few blocks and a supermarket across the street. We took a suite because we were traveling with a toddler and found it to be very spacious, with ample room to spread out.

Comment from the hotel's management
Thank you for your kind comments. I do agree the location of the hotel is great and staff friendliness goes a long way. Kind regards

“Good Hotel”

Good hotel. I reserved the room one month before the actual visit and I was able to save some $. If you try to book the room within 1 or 2 days, be ready to pay extra (EXTRA!!) Location is not bad. The single room is a little bit small, but very very comforting.

Area recommendations
I recommend Soho area.
