very good hotel

Posted 25-Jul-2015
Pros: Very atmospheric
Cons: One of the lifts was out of order, and it was quite a treck to my room.
Location: Close to the Airport
I only spent two days at the Radisson Blu, but thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I'll definitely return next time I'm in the UK.

Nice and central location but for tired hotel

Posted 24-Jul-2015
hotel near all facilities but rooms uncomfortable and tired looking for the money would not rate enjoyed better stays in a bed and breakfast. Breakfast at 17.99 did not bother drinks and restaurants very expensive there is much better out there.

Upon our arrival we were placed in a small room.

Posted 17-Jul-2015
Pros: We liked the comfort of the hotel lobby and the ambiance of the wood, marble and crystal chandelier.
Cons: Please, fix the lift and tell the workmen NOT TO SMOKE INSIDE YOUR BUILDING while working.
Location: The concierge told us about a free bus to get to the tube which was greatly appreciated. We did a walk to a neighboring hotel while staying with you.
Our room was inadequate. We were moved the next day after not sleeping comfortably. We were upgraded to a room without a lift, & were told that we would have "quite a walk". The hotel concierge said that their priority on our arrival was to house "the TV show guests of Glee". We felt after paying for our "deluxe room" since Feb. that our priority was shelved. We did utilize the restaurants @ the Radisson and noticed on the billing on the last two days for breakfast that the meals were charged a different and higher rate than the first two mornings. We switched to the Marriot for more variety in seafood for our final dinner in London. We were served cream puffs which we considered over and above any of the muffins served at the Radisson.

Lovely Room, Lovely Staff

Posted 13-Jul-2015
The whole experience was lovely. The room was pleasant, the staff were brilliant, the cheeseboard at 1am was somewhat to be desired, breakfast although pricey was delightful and everything was of a good/high standard. The facilities of the hotel were great, the use of the sauna, gym etc. The whole decor, staff and atmosphere was relaxing. Best of all it was correctly priced. I would highly recommend the hotel.

Convenient for an overnight near Heathrow

Posted 13-Jul-2015
Pros: Close to Heathrow.
Cons: More/better food offerings without the price inflation of a "trapped" clientele. Accurate information on the website - there IS NO SWIMMING POOL.
Location: Absolutely nothing. The only reason to stay here is that it's only a 20 minute drive from Heathrow.
The hotel is a 15-20 taxi or shuttle ride from Heathrow. The taxi was 20 pounds, but shuttle only 4.50. A serious drawback is that guests are limited to the food on site -- there is NOTHING else withing walking distance. The menu was extremely limited (intentionally in the "Lobster or Steak" and unintentionally in the Indian place) and extremely over-priced...well, they have a captive audience (if you're hungry, you're going to pay). There is an odd floor plan and the front desk staff gave us wrong directions to the room. After a bit of dragging luggage, we found a much more direct route to take later. Also, there is false information on the site website. We picked this hotel because it had a swimming pool -- thinking that a good stretch in the water would be nice after sitting on planes all day. This was FALSE! There is no pool, much to our disappointment, at this location, so beware.

Never again

Posted 11-Jul-2015
Had to walk a mile to the room because elevators not working, something check-in staff not aware of & directed us to lifts that were non-operational & cleraly had been for several days.. Took ages to check in - really slow & inefficient process. Room service ordinary to disappointing & way over-priced for the lack of quality food. Gluggy pasta & pizza. Staff at reception not clued in a bout room & extra bed. At check-out staff tried to tell us we had had drinks from bar which we hadn't and tried to charge us for it. Misinformed about taxi price to airport. Overall way below par & average for the exorbitant price!!

nice hotel but

Posted 08-Jul-2015
Pros: Lighting, lobby
Cons: Restaurant staff seemed uninformed, confused about happy hour drinks, generally slow.
Location: Location good for airport but surprisingly expensive to get to London - even by bus and metro.
The elevator was broken so we had to take a very long route (the hotel is huge) to the room. Not a problem until the next day, trying to find way back to another elevator with non-existent signage. Another guest on the same quest almost missed their flight - had been searching 30 minutes for the way out.
