“Nice people +less than basic equipment = disappointment”

This hotel was a bit like staying in a hostel. Except for breakfast time, no staff except the check-in clerk. Over 3 days and nights, no functional telephone, lost voice mails, and not even a willingness to write down messages. Promises of repair not followed through on. Very basic room which was adequately cleaned. Poor internet connection which contained extra charges. Less expensive hotel which cost me lost voice messages, missed meetings, and lots of time begging for basic service.

Traveller's tip
In the Hampstead/Finchley area of London, several hotels are pretty bad. Try to make sure that you will get a working room phone with functional voice mail, reliable internet connection, and internet connectivity that doesn't add on huge extra charges. Directly inquire about basics, - because most of these hotels try to get away without them, or chasge you a lot for them.

“Acceptable entry level for cheap and cheerful accomodation”

Hotel had a dated 70's look but had friendly receptionist and was clean. convenient for what I wanted, easy to get to. Slightly overpriced for what it was but within acceptable limits.

“Schon das 2. Mal und gerne auch wieder”

Wie der Titel bereits verrät, waren wir schon das 2. mal im Quality Hotel Hampstead. Es liegt in einer Seitenstraße nahe der U-Bahn-Haltestelle "Finchley Road" mit allerhand Lokalen und Geschäften. Es wird im Moment renoviert, was aber überhaupt nicht störte. Die Zimmer sind alle gleich groß, d.h. es sind im Grunde sehr kleine Zimmer für 3 Personen, aber man möchte ja auch keine Party darin veranstalten. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und das Bad (ein kleines aber richtiges!!!) ebenfalls. Das Personal (Rezeption, Zimmermädchen und Frühstücksraum) war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Der Früstücksraum befindet sich wie in den meisten Hotels im Keller, ist aber schön eingerichtet und bietet den Gästen ein fantastisches Frühlstück (full English breakfast), um sie auf die vielen vor ihnen liegenden Kilometer gut vorzubereiten. Am Tag der Abreise kann das Gepäck kostenlos deponiert werden. Fazit: das nächste Mal nach Möglichkeit wieder dieses Hotel!

“Gerne wieder”

Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße. Zentral London ist per Tube innerhalb von 15-20 Minuten schnell erreichbar. In der Umgebung des Hotels gibt es reichlich Restaurants und einen guten Supermarkt. Für Londoner Verhältnisse ist das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut. Der Bus von London Stanstedt hält direkt um die Ecke. Hotel von dort aus innerhalb von 5 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar.

“Prima uitvalsbasis”

Prima uitvalsbasis om Londen te verkennen, metrostation op 5 minuten afstand. Wij hadden een bed erbij op een 2 persoonskamer waardoor het erg krap werd. Ook een zeer dun dekentje erop. Verder alles OK, ontbijt goed verzorgd, vriendelijk personeel.

“Prima Hotel für Kurzurlaub”

Die U-Bahn-Station Finchley Road ist 3-4 min. zu Fuß entfernt, eine Bushaltestelle ist noch näher, so dass man in kurzer Zeit in der City ist. Es gibt Restaurants mit zivilen Preisen und Supermärkte in der engeren Umgebung. Die Lage des Hotels wird daher von uns als sehr gut eingestuft. Die Zimmer sind relativ klein, aber sehr sauber. Die Matratze war uns etwas zu weich, außerdem gab's einen "Minuspunkt" dafür, dass das Doppelbett nur eine Bettdecke besaß. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, jedoch ist der Frühstücksraum etwas zu klein, so dass manchmal etwas Hektik entsteht und man z.T. ein paar Minuten auf einen freien Tisch warten muss. Das Hotel selbst bietet einen kostenpflichtigen Internetzugang, sonst aber keine Freizeitmöglichkeiten. Insgesamt ist das Hotel für einen kurzen Stadturlaub empfehlenswert.

“Ideal für Kurztrips nach London”

Das Hotel liegt in einer Seitenstr. und war daher relativ ruhig. Unser Zimmer war renoviert, das Bad ebenfalls. Angenehm fanden wir die kleine Hotelbar mit moderaten Preisen und das nette Frühstückzimmer mit Kontinentalem Frühstück (3 Sorten Cornflakes, Joghurt, Obst aus der Dose, Rührei, Speck, Käse, Schinken, und das "übliche" englische Standardfrühstück). Die U-Bahn-Station ist keine 5 Minuten entfernt, es fahren 2 Linien in die Stadt, man ist in 20 Minuten da. Das Hotel war für uns eine gute Wahl. Wir können es empfehlen.
