“How small are the beds????”

Our room was, how shall i say, snug. You could swing a cat and hit all 4 walls. The bed was slightly larger than a single bed. It most definitely was not a double. Having said that, it was clean and convenient to paddington station.

“Reasonably Priced Near Paddington Station”

I don't see what this hotel offers for its 4 stars - or its price band. It's little more than a guest house. Clean, basic, fairly convenient location - that's it.

“Great Hotel!”

Great hotel if it is not to hot outside and at night, rooms small but very clean and well groomed, great location for tourist. It is close to Pattington Rail and Substation. Rate were good.

“good value for the price!”

I'm a Fairmont regular...and no this hotel is not a Fairmont but for the price...it was very accomodating and a very decent hotel. Leaving more $$ for shopping. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel upgraded us to a suite which was a nice surprised. It provided us with a bit more space for our family which was great. Very convenient location...close to Paddington station and a short walk to Hyde Park. Lots of nice little restaurant in the area. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again.

“Stay at Quality Crown Hyde Park Mate”

If you arrive at Heathrow Airport, take Heathrow Express to Paddington Station and walk ten minutes to Hotel. Safe area for all to walk solo. The room was clean (a bit narrow), but fine. They provide usual amenities; shampoo, conditioner, blow dryer, and alot of instant coffee and tea! The little package of graham crackers are tasty. The barkeep was king enough to give me a couple of extra packs, yumm. Went to lobby 4 AM ish (still on USA time), and desk clerk gave me two Butter Croissants. The breakfast in the dining area is delicious, I recommend.

Getting there

If you arrive after 5:00 pm U. K., time don't allow Heathrow Express clerks to talk you into buying tickets for the tube. All you need is the round trip ticket for Heathrow Express. If you stay more than one night buy your tube tickets day you plan to use the tube. The money exchage is in their favor so be a bit frugal when possible.

“Close to Paddington”

Good price for a hotel that is convenient if you are overnighting before going to Heathrow. Do not spend a lot of time here - the rooms are closet size

“Quaity Crown Hotel Paddington just fine.”

I had read mixed reviews; however, I have no problem recommending this facility. It was a short walk from Paddington and Lancaster Gate tube stations. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. It was smaller than a North American hotel room but was great for London. There are quite a few decent small restaurants for meals in the neighbourhood. Our bathroom was a reasonable size and I never had a problem with hot water. It was a bit noisy as the room was near the street(one level below) and the kitchen but not enough it disrupted our sleep. There was only one unused outlet. A breaker blew when we tried to plug a power bar(we had read a review which recommended this) into an adaptor but the front desk corrected it quickly. We never tried that again but used the adaptor to charge phones, etc one at a time. I would only bring newer chargers which accept the voltage. That was a small problem. Overall I would recommend this hotel and consider staying there again if I travelled to London. The triple room worked fine for a parent and two teenagers.

“Only good because of its location.”

The hotel is definetly not a 4 star hotel. Reading guest reviews at the signbook was depressing to say the least. The linens were not changed in a week stay.
