Everything about the hotel was great. The room, the view, the room service and all of the staff were friendly and professional. The Spa/ pool was a different experience all together. It is not part of the hotel but you are privy to a pass if you stay in the hotel. Kids can only use the pool from 9-11 AM. When we arrived, the reception staff practically recoiled at the sight of our two children (both of whom are competent swimmers). I was given the impression that they were tolerated but only just. One of the staff tried to tell us that we could only use the pool with the children at the weekend but the other conceded when we questioned this that they could go within the alotted time all week. When we made it to the pool, despite the surroundings being lovely, we were left disappointed. Despite it being the "family fun' time, we were only allowed access to one lane in the pool which was busy with other parents and their toddlers. there was therefore no opportunity for our kids aged 9 and 7 to really enjoy themselves. We just had to splash about in a corner for a bit before we left. Not great. We didn't go back. Other than that, the hotel staff were great with the kids, the location was good, loads of transport links within easy reach and plenty of shops and eateries nearby. We felt perfectly safe in the surrounding area at night and the area was also spotlessly clean. Great stay but forget the pool if you have kids. The spa staff are up tight and the clientele somewhat aloof.
This hotel was the perfect location being on the edge of Leicester Square. Surprisingly very quiet when in your room regardless of the hundreds of people outside. Covent Garden, Regent Street and West End all a short walk.
The staff were very friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Rooms very clean and spacious, everything we needed. Great hotel, would recommend to anyone and would definitely stay again. Thank you
It was the second time I had stayed at The Urban Resort , very convenient for an event nearby. On both occasions, the experience has been excellent. I found the staff friendly and helpful, but above all, the bedroom and en suite bathroom were both spacious, clean and maintained to a very high standard. I enjoyed a good night's sleep in a very comfortable bed. There was a good deal on breakfast, which can be overpriced in some hotels if one only wants a small, continental style breakfast. Booking well ahead, I was pleasantly surprised at the cost. I would happily stay there again.
Staying at our Lamington apartment was a fantastic experience! We had reserved a one-room studio, since there are only two of us, but we were upgraded (at no extra charge) to a one-bedroom that could have slept four people. The apartment was birght and spacious, and it was located in a nice, quiet neighborhood only 5 minutes from the nearest Tube station.
We arrived on a Saturday. Since the office is closed on weekends, we went to a deli a few doors down, where a very helpful woman gave us our keys and info. The next day we somehow managed to lock ourselves INSIDE the apartment, and had to call the emergency number. Two employees showed up quickly and helped us out. We plan on staying in a Lamington apartment every time we are in London.
I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel, it had geat location, easy access to all the other parts of London. staff was very helpful and nice, rooms were clean and kitchen was surprisingly big with all the facilities in it.
The room was clean and adequate with extra touches to bathroom. Host was lovely and waited up making sure we arrived safely as we had a long trip and was running late. The kitchen staff who are often forgotten were friendly and cheery, and food was of a very high standard and certainly not skimped on.
