Close to the museums & excellent tube access.

Posted 08-Jul-2014
Our family has stayed at the Park International 7 times since 2003. They have a great staff, a good breakfast, comfortable clean rooms and are close to the tube, shopping and a host of museums and parks. There are two big grocery stores nearby an a selection of decent restaraunts. We'll stay there on our next trip through London.

Pros: see above
very nice hotel -= clean, nice breakfast - nice food in restaurant - not noisy; only problem was that I e-mailed hotel to have a cab at the airport - gave my flight # and terminal etc and they never showed up; no explanation was given when I arrived at hotel. otherwise the concierge was very helpful and so were the staff with the exception of one who was very rude and wouldn't help me print out my boarding pass - after I told her I wasn't use to that particular computer

Beds

Pros: Conditiond and staff
Cons: WiFi in the room, not the lobby.
Location: Convenient
Nice hotel, but the beds were on rollers and moved away from the wall when you tried to sit up.

excellent experience, modern and pleasant

Posted 24-May-2014
Pros: Location, staff, condition
Cons: I think this level of hotels should not charge for wifi
Location: 2 minutes walk from Gloucester road tube station. Great area, location is close to many things and yet quiet.
I came early and they gave me the room which is quite generous. The concierge was very helpful helping me with a restaurant which was a very good choice. Nice room, modern and clean. A definite repeat

First London Experience!!!!!

Posted 03-May-2014
Myself and husband recently travelled to London for the first time. We booked the Park International Hotel for the four nights as it was central to most of the things we wanted to do. And the underground was only a 5 minute walk. When we arrived at the hotel the staff on reception had very little english and hard to understand what they were saying. Anyway we got the key to our room, when we opened the door the room was so small and very warm we could'nt open the little window anymore than an inch. I would not like to be staying there in the middle of a hot summer cause you would not be able to stick the heat in the room. I was so disappointed with it - I went back down to reception to see if they could change our room. They said that all the standard rooms were small and if we wanted we could upgrade to a executive room for an extra charge of 80 pounds an night. We didn't upgrade. Their website should tell people how small the rooms are. Apart from the room everything else was lovely.

Decent hotel for a night out at the Albert Hall

Posted 21-Apr-2014
Pros: The location is very good, the hotel is very clean and well presented, the breakfast is good quality and the staff are very friendly.
Cons: As mentioned above - the bed was very uncomfortable and small - couldn't sleep in that bed for more than one night.
Location: A short walk to Albert Hall, V&A, Science/Natural History museums, shopping in Kensington High Street, Kensington Palace, Diana memorial, Hyde Park.
Booked one night in the Park International for a concert at the Albert Hall - the hotel is exceptionally well positioned for the Albert Hall as well as the V&A, Science and Natural History Museums - a good location. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is very clean and well presented. The room we had (533) was on the top floor (only one small lift that we could see) - and the room was very clean and had all the expected amenities (tea, coffee, safe etc). The breakfast selection (continental) was very good - I was surprised to see a good selection of hot food available - my wife was disappointed that pancakes were an addtional charge so we gave then a miss (its not a cheap hotel so why the extra?). Anyway mostly a decent hotel - with one quite large exception and that was the bed - I'm not sure if all rooms are the same but our bed was pretty small (I'm sure its width was less than a standard double but didn't have a tape measure handy so can't verify that) - we're not big people in any way, shape or form and we found it a squeeze (my feet hung off the end of the bed and I'm 5'7"- gives you an idea of its proportions). It wasn't just the size of bed it was also very uncomfortable - the mattress springs were very prominent and didn't allow for a good nights sleep - this is either a very poor quality mattress or a very old and worn mattress. This was just about ok for one night but we couldn't have slept in this bed for any more than that.

Great location, clean, and a nice place to stay

Posted 14-Apr-2014
Pros: I liked the newer feel to the hotel interior, as well as the courtesy of the staff from the concierge, front desk, to the staff in the breakfast room.
Cons: I found the bed a bit uncomfortable, I think a bit higher end mattress would do the trick.
Location: Great location, a couple minute walk to the Gloucester Rd tube. A quick walk to a few museums and good options for food/groceries nearby.
I stayed for four nights and was very pleased. The staff were helpful with a few inquires I had. The room was always very clean and all of the furnishings and carpeting etc. seemed new and well kept. The price was reasonable given the area and the quality of the room.

Both Classy and Comfortable

Posted 17-Mar-2014
Pros: A great value for Kensington Park district
Cons: Speed of service and quality of food in the restaurant, except for the generous and tasty breakfast buffet!
Location: Hyde Park & the Victoria and Albert Museum. Several restaurants & grocery store. A couple of blocks away from tour bus stops and the tube (subway).
Though the rooms in Park International were indeed small, they were very comfortable, and if you consider how this compares to a lot of non-U.S. hotels, it's no big deal. The room was also surprisingly quiet for a hotel that's right on a major city street. If you are driving, you'll need to park at the Holiday Inn next door, so guests should be prepared to walk a short distance upon arrival and departure. The staff were very friendly, the décor is elegant, and the "Mary Poppins"-style, chimney-sweep-ish view of the city was pleasant.
