“Good stay in London”
As a 'secret' hotel, the Novotel was very well priced. Location is convenient for DLR and London underground. Secure car park under hotel very easy to use, although £15 per 24 hrs is quite steep. Public areas very pleasant and staff very helpful. Not sure I would put the bedrooms in 4 star category (bathrooms in particular) but overalit was clean, the bed was very compfortable and we had a pleasant stay.
“Lovely hotel, friendly staff”
Very satisfied with this hotel, highly recommended!
“Highly recommended”
Excellent value for money! Modern decor. Clean. Short walk from DLR station with easy access to the O2 - we stayed after watching a concert. Staff were very friendly, professional and helpful.
“So handy for ExCel”
Staying here for Top Gear show at ExCel which is a couple of minutes' walk away. Two double beds in very comfortable room - excellent breakfast. Some noise from people outside on grass area until late in the night disturbed us. Tiny loo behind the room door but being separate from bathroom was quite handy. Staff friendly and efficient. Would stay again.
“"Great Experience"”
We found this hotel apsolutely fabulous. Very superior hotel in all ways. The staff bent over backwards to help you. Superb breakfast. Excellent location, with Central London only 25 minutes away.
“Fantastic Hotel! Even better breakfast!”
Hotel was fantastic, rooms were clean and tidy, beds were comfortable and breakfast was to die for!
“Excellent Hotel, location could be better”
Good modern hotel. Location is perfect for Excel, the Dome and Olympic Park. Central London is further afield but DLR station is close by.
“When they say it's right next to the Excel convention center...”
... they mean it, you can see it from your window if your room is on the left side of the hotel. It's a decent new modern hotel with good facilities, unfortunately my room didn't overlook the river or the convention center, no, my view was to the rooms of the Ibis next door (didn't like that), but I didn't bother changing since the russian guy at the reception took 15 minutes to find my reservation despite me giving him the reservation number, if I asked to change rooms because of the view I would have probably slept on the lobby. The rooms are pretty good and nicely decorated, they have british style 'closet' loos (all other hotels I've stayed in London had continental style restrooms). Now the bad: my salmon was undercooked and terribly bland (@ the upper deck), the shower had a terrible moisty smell, for some reason they only let you crack the window open and not open it the entire way (afraid you are gonna steal the TV???!?!) so that was kind of uncofortable not being able to clear the room of that smell in the first few minutes. The safes could be better as if you leave them open for more than a minute or so they reset the code.
“Taking unfair advantage of the location”
Very tight room, the only thing you do not pay for is probably the toilet roll. Internet for £19/day? This is simply scandalous.
“Great stay in Docklands”
Excellent service from check in to check out. Enjoyed a few cocktails @ the bar. Loved the buffet breakfast. Could not have asked for more. An easy walk from the ExCel DLR station. No need for a car.
